Seems like the positive vibes from the draft have carried over into the FA signings. Nice to see, and very much needed for our fanbase. We now are all confident the floor was hit, and we now begin the ascent with the right men to get us there. For the first time in over three years I FEEL GOOD.
LOL I thought the exact same thing. Whoever wrote this probably never even saw the kid play and just guessed or made shit up so he could move on to the next kid he never saw play.
I was just going to make this thread. Glad to see we signed some high upside guys. I'm shocked that Hamilcar didn't get drafted. Extremely raw and undersized but he has the raw athleticism that I thought would've been worth a draft pick for a team. I watched him some at Oregon State and he really flashes at times. Love Kenny Yeboah. Lots of speed at tightend. Might not be able to block, but as an UDFA he's going to have to learn if he wants to make an NFL roster.
has a team taken a chance on that Trey Smith? Projected top 50 not drafted, ouch, thought it would be worth a team taking him as a FA though
check out youtube... clips show that he seems to be decent, from the few minutes that I have watched...that is
Hopefully, he will work on his blocking. Kroft is a pretty good blocker and Wesco is a good blocker. We needed another receiving TE. Hopefully, Yeboah works hard and makes the team, and replaces Griffin on the roster.
Are we moving Wesco to FB? The 49er's used Juscheck (or however you spell it) a ton. I would expect we'll need a full time FB going forward if we're going with that system.
I don't know. I heard speculation yesterday that the Jets' offense will be different from Shanahan's in that regard and they won't be featuring a FB. I hope it was right. I think Wesco and alternate between blocking TE and FB.
