Why does everyone assume we’d have an opportunity to draft Darrishaw? IMO we should assume the Vikings take Darrishaw at 14 and the Raiders take AVT at 17.
Most of the guard went low this draft. The reason people are specifically mentioning Davis is because he was taken with our Seattle 3rd rounder, at 86. I would have actually taken Kendrick Green before Davis, and he went one pick after Davis.

Well this is certainly breaking news to me, now this thread makes perfect sense! Like I said in the day two draft thread... to definitively state that trading two picks that historically have a 50% chance of working out for the best player at your biggest position of need is a mistake and that we should have taken a three-year left tackle, moved him to the right where we already have a competent starter and relied on a third rounder to be your left side interior protection is stupid.
It's only our biggest position of need because we didn't sign a good one last year or this year (with the most cap space in the league). With the picks he used to take Tucker, he could have three highly rated offensive lineman - that's a fact. If Tucker isn't significantly better than all three of them, he made a mistake - end of story.
