I guess the thought process is just to create a shark tank of young guys at CB and hope a couple compete their way to being decent.

Absolutely loving this draft so far. Would've probably preferred an additional guard somewhere but it's awesome to see us finally address offense and positions of need in general.

 

Echols earned a 73 PFF grade and allowed 0.91 yards/coverage snap, which are quality numbers in the SEC. However, where he really stands out is with his athletic ability. He ran a 4.3 40-yard dash at his pro day and posted a 43-inch vertical jump, which, to be frank, are downright scary numbers, even after adjustment

Sam should be very happy! The Panthers added Terrace Marshall, Shi Smith, Chuba Hubbard,Tommy Tremble, Brady Christiansen, and Deonte Brown on offense. For his sake, I hope that he has fixed his decision making and footwork. If not all the weapons in the world won't help because he won't be able to hit them consistently.
