o-line is pretty solid right now IMO

    LT Becton
    LG AVT
    C Mcgovern
RG Lewis/GVR/Clark/Feeny battle for the job
    RT fant

plus we have mcdermott and edoga as backup OTs that's 10 lineman. wouldn't surprise me if 1 gets cut. 10 is a lot to carry as it is. drafting another lineman means we likely cut 2 of the guys above

right now i'd say biggest holes are back 7 on defense to address. 2nd tier holes would be RB and TE for the later picks.

I never assume you can trade down because you need a partner. At 34, I would do Javonte Williams or Rondale Moore. This team needs weapons for Wilson and they are slipping away. MLB is another need but I don't like anyone at the pick. Joseph Ossai, Edge, would be a pick at 34 I could get behind.

Jenkins. But I feel like Jax will take him, so I would take JOK

If we get Jenkins, he’s playing RG or RT?

I would say RG next year and then RT in 2022 to replace Fant.

top of the 2nd is easy to trade down. lots of "1st round talent" guys "fall" out of the 1st. many teams want those handful of guys and since it's a different day, JD had all last night and all this morning to take and make calls. I'm sure a few teams have called the jets and jags with offers. it won't happen until the draft though because those teams want to make sure jax doesn't take their guy

Wouldn't have to address both tackle spots and a guard spot for the next decade.

    Sounds good to me.

I still say OL, so Jenkins for me. I get that we have other needs as well, but we cannot fill every hole we got in one draft. Fix the O-line to give Zach every chance to be successful and not get killed, then take a different approach next season when we still are drafting in the top of the draft again with draft capital we have

Just checked the draft betting ods.

Jax 1st pick in Second round odds are below

    Cornerback -500
    Safety +425
    OL +600
    Tight End +875

Which cornerback might they be targeting I wonder?

Jets odds are all over the place by the way.

that's odd.I don't think there is a CB worth taking here but Vegas seems pretty sure on it.

    Weird.

I would have bet they take an offensive lineman

Asante Samuel seem like the obvious choice.

True but it seems like CB have been targeted early this year. It would make sense for them to get their guy (whomever he is) now.

So if Vegas is right, Jenkins is there for us to take. Will that be overinvestment on OL? I don't know guys. I still want another bull at the trenches. Get me Jenkins if we don't trade down/

Well, you’re going to have to pay all of them right around the same time if that’s how it goes. I’d look at Elijah Moore, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, or Ronnie Perkins. Or trade back.

Overinvestment and Offensive Line should never be in the same sentence.

    Yes you take him

    That's the spirit.

Go with the big guys. With late picks we can target skilled positions.

I do believe that investing in offensive linemen is the smartest way in building a sustainable championship team.
