U do realize they can both be good, right? If u preferred Darrisaw over AVT while i dont know if i would agree, it’s certainly a respectable opinion... but to call AVT a bust and say he sucks really is an extreme take and crushes your credibility
LOL Not for nothing, but I do not think you know much about him if you think this was an "abomination". He was the best rated guard in the draft for a reason
Awesome. JD clearly had a plan and executed it for a position of need. Contrast that with Idzik and Macagnan. I feel good about the brain driving this org.
Rockinz had too much tonight. Best to mute dude. Excellent choice to play LG...the line is going to be a strength and JD continues to add top talent there. Best guard of the draft easily by all accounts.
Consensus top G in the draft. Played LG in 19. AVT isn’t a Wayne Hunter type. He should at least be serviceable, if not great.
We traded up to the 14th pick and took Revis. Hopefully trading up to 14 for AVT will be half as good. In that same draft we also traded up for Harris.
The Jets must have graded AVT very high... I personally liked the mauling style of Tevin Jenkins more. Jenkins is bigger, nastier, stronger, and is arguably more athletic (ran 4.9 ‘40 - 36 reps). AVT is definitely smoother, more polished and has better feet. With as many holes the Jets have, it’s a tough to not have those 2 third rounders...
Feel this shows we were in on Thuney more than we realise. He just chose a top team with the same huge need, who happened to be in two Superbowls the last two years. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
Said it in the draft thread but I could not care any less about giving up two thirds for a player that fills arguably our biggest hole. We have the 34th pick. We have multiple picks in multiple rounds day 3. We have two firsts and seconds next year. Friggen spare me with the whining over two thirds.
Just LOL at the fans in this thread raging that we moved up to get the best guard in the draft. Jets fans never cease to amaze me. excellent pick and move by JD here.
