Plus waddle went back to Tua when all the team preferred Jones in the end. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
JD is taking no prisoners. He went balls out for strengthening our weakest area with the best guard. Now he can trade down a bit in round two and get a third back. Love it. Protect the kid. Three top OL gone by pick 14. A premium well worth paying to protect Wilson and get the running game in good order. And this is day one boys. Now we fill in the pieces with the rest.
Could we still get Jenkins or Newsome at 35? Probably a pipe dream but would be amazing. Wouldnt mind Etienne or Bateman either.
Why are people so down on the Giants pick? Felt like they should've went OL with the two right tackles there but Toney is sick.
For sure. I imagine if Jenkins is still on the board we stay put and take him. Otherwise, trade down and try to get a 3rd back.
Still not liking a CB there, but given they got Wilson and a stud OG, I can "settle", but I'd prefer Jenkins or a stud weapon.
Still too early for me to declare. I will say I don't know that I've ever felt this optimistic about a GM before. Time will tell for sure.
Yeah, I'm not planning his induction to Canton, but I feel more confident with JD than I have since Parcells.
Forty-one years ago Jets passed up another USC OL Anthony Munoz at #2 for WR Lam Jones. Imagine Munoz and another USC Tackle Marvin Powell on the same line? With C Joe Fields and G Dan Alexander this could have been one of the best OLs of the era. Of course, Jets had T Chris Ward at the time and would have had to move him and probably would have received something decent for him.
