You make some excellent points on the opt out guys. Honestly it looks like it may have helped their draft stock to sit out, which is counterintuitive IMO.

As for your question about Jones though, perhaps he is seen as the more "ready" QB despite less reps because he completely tore up the rest of the NCAA en route to a blow out national championship. That is something Wilson doesn't have on his resume

Is what I said not true? It was really weak too. You're better than that.

Yes, it’s not true. Says you. Not for you to decide.

I do. Then again these guys have nothing to do but overanalyze everything so the ball may not be in Clark's court. He isn't the only one to bring up 2019 either so he isn't alone, just he was the latest in doing so.

The draft process is too long and has too much overthinking and guessing. I know why it is the way it is, suspense creates drama and ratings but so much shit is just flung to the wall for the sake of.

People are ready to see Zach Wilson's Armani suit tomorrow, I guarantee 1-2 analysts will overanalyze on that too and say that's a rich man mentality.
(They have a NFL Draft RED CARPET 2-3 hour preshow like it's the oscars)

I'm in agreement on the opt outs. If your team played in 2020 and you didn't - well that's kind of a damning indictment on how much you love football and where you're willing to go to succeed.

    LMAO

This just reinforces my view that we should NOT draft Fields.

Yeah but that’s not saying much. Petty was ass and I don’t throw around that word lightly.

lol I was waiting for someone to call me out on that, BrowningNagle. Well-done, lol. I was just having a little fun to bring some levity to the board, now that the draft is 24 hours away and the whole Fields v. Wilson has just about been talked to death. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen, and as Jets fans, we will all rally behind what JD does and hope for the best. :)

Legler I will give you credit for this much....you not only called Mahomes, but you were also the only guy on the board praising Lamar Jackson when he came out AND building up Josh Allen....while everyone else on TGG was low on all three of those guys, you were praising them and predicting big things in the NFL for them, so you do deserve credit for being the one voice out in the wilderness on all three: Mahomes, Jackson and Allen. That is a pretty good QB track record which no one else on TGG can match of late. I did not think that Mahomes would be as good as he has been and I was lukewarm on Allen and critical of Jackson.

I’m going to be in the minority but I think Petty was worse. Hack had a couple preseason drives when he locked like a NFL QB. Petty never looked like that to me. I’m a believer that whatever round you draft a QB, there at least have to have 1% chance of being a starter if everything pan out perfectly. Petty was 0% to me. Total waste of a pick like Taj Boyd.
