i just watched the beginning of warners thing and he says nothing of the sorts. and the 2 clips also agree with what I said, keeps eyes downfield goes through his progression and processes the play. and the 1st one was an amazing throw 50+ yards in air from outside the hash on 1 side to outside the numbers on the other. not to mention he bates the safety with his eyes to make the window for the throw. it's an NFL level play. maybe rewatch the warner one? warner also has wilson #2 over fields so why cheery pick him to help 1 argument but ignore the rest. it's just sad right now. It's fine if you see something in fields nobody else sees. maybe you will be right. but you can leave it at that without the made up stuff
For people that aren't enamored of Wilson, how much better/worse is the Niner's move of trading up to #3 for Jones/Lance? Slightly worse? Worse by a factor of 10? Not THAT bad because you like Lance/Jones better than Wilson? Because man, I get why some people aren't sold on Wilson, but I think I'd be apoplectic if I was a Niners fan by contrast.
Or it could be that the niners are one of the best teams in the league at laying down pre-draft smoke screens. Nothing that doesn't come directly from a team this week should be believed.
I have read about their training habits and routine and actually watched many interviews. Everybody who have been around Zach : John Beck, his teammates, his coaches, Steve Young, BYU personnel and TV cast have all mentionned how dedicated Zach is to self improve and football is his obsession. Spending all his time analyzing videos and formation. There is a reason why NFL personnel who had a chance to talk with him all praised him a lot and he sky rocketed all team draft board. Even Saleh and Douglas mentioned in their interview that the main quality their are looking in young players is their love for football.
Cutler was also a 4 year starter in the nation's top conference, the SEC. Not even comparable to Wilson. His weakness is competition and lack of experience. Those were Cutler's strengths
yep, ESP when u consider that Cutler was playing with FAR LESS TALENT on his roster at Vandy than every other team he faced in the nation's toughest conference. Cutler's biggest problems were all character related...he had the physical tools AND the intelligence....he was just a gigantic, self-absorbed, disinterested douchebag who felt that his rocket arm could do anything, and make up for his faults (such as his piss poor work ethic, lack of focus, etc.).....he was wrong. Anyway, well-said, BrowningNagle.
don't pay attention to it. a few people here who want fields are just trolling everyone because if they can't enjoy the pick, then nobody else can apaprently
Now is not the time for "enjoying the pick". That's this weekend. BTW, I'd take Wilson over Trask, Cutler, or Zack from 'Saved by the Bell'.
was he wrong though? he did have a good career. I remember that draft. Love brick and what he did for the jets but lots of jet fans wanted leinhart, young, or reggie if he fell. reggie and young went before it and many people wanted lienart. I wanted cutler pretty badly. he still made a pro bowl, threw for 35k yards and 227 TDs. he had a solid career overall for over a decade. if we had cutler over sanchez in 09 and 10 we probably win a SB
nothing you post is clever or funny. it's just trolling where you laugh at your own replies but nobody else does
Like I said I am not even mad at them. I really like Fields and I truly wish he become a star player same with Trey Lance. They are great talents too.
i like fields too but apparently it's a sin to some to like wilson more. wilson just looks like a more complete QB and a fit for our system while fields looks like a great athlete that has a lot to work on to be an NFL QB
Or maybe he has less talent to see the 2nd read, panics and takes off (or holds the ball forever and gets sacked.) For all that speed he has, it didn't impede him from getting sacked.
“he says nothing of the sorts” huh? OK 5:55 “when I talk about Zach Wilson this is the one thing that I want to see him do a better job at, at the next level. Often times it seems to me as if he just picks a guy and decides he’s going to throw pre-snap and predetermines where he wants to go with the football” -Kurt Warner Patiently awaiting spin.
I don't really care. it's just killing an actual discussion and ruined this thread several times over with bickering
