The unusual thing this year is that Jets fans are so sold on a guy with one good year in college, coming out as a junior and with a significant injury history.

It's like we don't learn from the mistakes the Jets have made over the years.

I understand your general point, Br4d, but you have to admit that Wilson appears to be the real deal. Quick release, pin point accuracy, big game acumen, intelligence, etc.

How do we know he is the real deal?

We have one year to show that and that year is age 21 in a secondary conference against a weak schedule.

Maybe I'm old fashioned but the NFL draft used to be about more than Instagram moments.

Br4d, have you not been impressed by the throws you have seen on tape from Zach? or from his pro day?

Like you have any clue what you are looking at. Go ahead lay out your credentials. I am eaglery awaiting yours and Kurtthehetsfan film breakdown.

No one cares if you do not like Zach but you thinking you know more than anyone else is laughable. You may even end being right.

I don't know what other analysts are seeing with Wilson. However, the flags I listed are all objective fact.

He played poorly against good teams and great against weak teams.
He has not strung together back to back good seasons.
He has a concerning injury history.
He has a bad habit of locking onto receivers, even when he has plenty of time.

All of those are objective evaluations that the data bares out. What is not an objective evaluation is stating, "lots of people agree with me". That is subjective verification, not objective evaluation.

Most QB prospects have some red flags. But Wilson has too many to warrant the #2 pick. So does Fields. They are both reaches at #2.

Have no doubt, we are reaching for a QB in the most amateur way this draft.

A QB is not just his arm. If QB's were just their arms Browning Nagle and Ryan Leaf would be in the Hall of Fame right now.

To take a guy #2 he needs to check a lot of boxes that Zach Wilson is incomplete on and some of those boxes are irreversible, like minimal injury history and appropriate physical frame for a high draft pick.

okay Br4d, I respect your opinion even if I don't necessarily agree with it. I would also argue that Zach clearly has the intelligence and level of maturity that guys like Nagle and Leaf never had, but nevertheless, I respect your opinion.

You think JD is drafting Wilson at 2 due to IG moments? Lol

I haven’t seen one other person in the world say he locks onto targets. Isn’t that one of his biggest strengths?
I actually love Wilson and Fields. Gun to head Id take Wilson. But I also think the Anti-Wilson people on here are hilariously petty so that makes me more of a Wilson fan lol

lol thanks for posting, NC, but you know that the Fields Camp will find someway to negate that stat...probably by citing the "cupcake" schedule or whatnot, lol. ;):)

Nonsense. His freshman year was good, as was his Jr. season. The only reason his sophomore season wasn't that good was he was recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, then surgery on the thumb he broke. That's hardly a "significant injury history." One injury in college, his thumb. His shoulder injuries were in high school. You obviously don't know good QB play when you see it since you don't think this is even a good QB class, much less than the great QB class it is.

It is untrue because people don't say it or is it true because its evident on the tape?

ouchy, do you honestly think you see Wilson "locking onto his first read" when you watch his tape???
