Nice article in the NY Post today* It talks about how much of a (football) film junkie Wilson is. His coaches would tell him to go to bed he was up late watching film so much. I'm sorry but Darnold simply didn't have that. This is pretty cool too:

This spring, (BYU Head Coach) Sitake said he has been getting calls from Wilson to discuss the BYU spring practices that he likes to watch and break down, even though he is about to be the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft.

“I don’t know how many other people are doing that,” Kalani Sitake said. “That’s what he likes to do. He doesn’t do too many other things. He likes football and he’s going to be a great coach whenever his NFL career is done.”
    -

breaking down practice film of a team he no longer plays for? That's the kind of guy you respect

Kiper the Clown is trending on Twitter this morning...

As Kiper memorably said about Trubisky he "solidly" is the #1 QB

And then the wrath of Bears fans

I liked that Steve Young interview with the BYU guys. He is clearly a guy who thinks the Jets are a joke as a franchise. So if Robert Saleh, Mike LaFleur and Joe Douglas can sell him that things are going in the right direction and that it is a good landing spot for Wilson, I think that makes me even more optimistic. No doubt Steve Young would prefer Zach to drop to his 49ers at #3, so for him to be in on the Jets, I think it is a really positive thing to see.

We have LaFleur from the Niners, so what kind of system are we running that won't make him a fit here?

Its just so hard to believe that the 49ers gave up all that for Mac Jones.

Seems like they didn't need to go all the way up to pick number 3, if he was their target.

You pick on line out of the entire paragraph w/o context to argue something I didn’t say. Talk to yourself cause you speak your own language.

Remember that "Welcome to the Jets Sam Darnold" thread during the 2018 draft? The guy Golden Showers was furious over the pick, and everyone got mad at him, but he was right about everything he posted. I've decided we cant know for certain which QB is better until he comes and weighs in.

I mean think about it. As Jet fans it makes sense on some level that our oracle is an acidic guy named Golden Showers.

This was not my point. At all.

Lamar Jackson has steadily improved on what he was In college as a passer. That Is a fact.
Is he a top 10 QB. No.

    Again. Not my point though.

Not sure if posted here, but here are his "hits" predictions and rationale for Wilson lol.

Really have come to understand that some people in media and even amongst fan bases LOVE to be the contrarian for the sake of discussion.

My only gripe with Wilson are that he's had injuries before, I don't want him hurt all the time so I hope we go OL with #23 or #34

IIMeanDeanII, I respect your knowledge when it comes to football, ESP in regard to Big 10 football, BUT I think that, as others have suggested, you have let your scarlett and grey coloured glasses influence you in the Fields v. Wilson debate...either consciously, or subconsciously.
