With the pathetic Raider run defense I'm thinking we have a good chance to have both Leon and Cedric run for over 100. Leon can break one at any time and if healthy Cedric can grind out over 100. Hopefully the game plan is to run until if and when the Raiders can stop us. I'd like to see Smith get a few carries as well, even lining up in the backfield like earlier in the season. Yeah I know - hopefully the Jets aren't thinking like I am and take the team seriously. But if they're firing on all cylinders I see this happening and what better way to go into the playoffs than having confidence in your running game where rushing is critical.

I see it. Give them both 15 carries and they can easily do it. Leon more easily as he can go the distance at any time.

I don't know if I would call their D pathetic. They have the #4 D in the league compared with our #25 D. But their Off is ranked last place to our #21. I know our JETS are going to win. But I sure don't think Oakland is giving up. IMO :)

Not even close. We won't even have 1 100 yard rusher. Houston will never break a run more than 10 yards and Washington won't get those kind of carries.

Key term here is "run" defense. This is almost the exact opposite of the Vikings D. Teams don't need to pass against the Raiders because you can run all over them. IMO ranking teams like this is retarded becuase it means absolutely nothing.

If you want a real stat, I beleive in the last 8 weeks the Jets have given up the fewest points in the NFL.

(Don't give me any weak schedule bullshit becuase it truly does not matter)

ya i just dont see washington going over 100 if cedric is healthy. Washington does not get enough carries to get there. I dont see us getting 200 yards rushing, maybe mid to high 100's.

I would be happy with one person over 100 tomorrow. I expect something like 80-90 from Cedric and 45-50 for Leon

I think Houston can get a 100 if he's given 20-25 carries. Again this is the Oakland run D we're talking about. I know it's a little of a reach that both get 100, but part of my thinking is that Leon breaks a long run - say a 60 yarder. This guy can break one at any time, and what better D for that to happen? I think at the very least Cedric gets a 100 if the game plan is to run until they stop us.

My thinking is that Leon will break a long run giving us a shot at both runners getting a 100. It's not likely but possible given the run defense we're facing. That being said, I'd be very happy if they combine for 150 plus yards on the ground tomorrow.

True, and IMO we've played way better defenses than the Raiders this year. I just haven't been that impressed with our running game. Lot's of potential there though.

I miss Curtis  That's probably my problem lol.

It's possible. No team has been run on more than the Raiders (505 rushes against).

Houston has one 100-yard rushing game this year and Washington has two.

I miss him too... And yes, we have played wayyy better defenses this season. Miami, Chicago, Buffalo, even New England has a better defense than the Raiders.

But, I will not mark this one down as a gimmie.... That's bad karma:breakdance:

I say Brad Smith also gets 100 yards rushing. And does a double backflip for his touchdown dance.

As long as he doesn't hurt himself doing the back flip it's OK by me. But he'll probably get flagged for excessive celebration!

The only time I remember it happening was in 04 when the Jets destroyed the Dolphins, Curtis and Lamont both had over 100. Reading the recap for that game also uncovered this:

Prior to 75, I have no idea.
