Kadarius Toney is gonna be good. Reminds me of Desean Jackson. I could see him being high on JDs list.

Rondale Moore also gonna be a good one. He’s not just fast but is a football player. I see Steve Smith when I watch him.

I could see both guys in play at 23/34

Those who wanted the Jets to take DeVonta Smith at #2, do you still think that way?

I was probably the biggest Smith advocate but I never wanted to take him at #2 when there were trade down options with Atl/Phily. His weight doesn't detour me at all. Its the only knock people can come up with against him. In fact, I'd not want him to bulk up because his weight is part of what makes him so slippery and smooth.

However, if pressed I'd still say he would be a better pick for the Jets at 2 then Wilson. IMO he is the most promising WR prospect I've ever seen. In 1985 we took Toon 8 picks before the niners took Rice. This guy is Rice and Toon rolled into one player.

DeVonta Smith is going to be a great NFL receiver.

Thanks for your response. I totally disagree with your view on Smith, but I respect it and appreciate your candor.

Thanks for your response. If he doesn't stay injured all the time, he could very well become a great NFL WR. Sadly, I just don't think he will stay healthy, and I think Jamar Chase and Jaylen Waddle are both far superior prospects. For that matter, I think Kadarius Toney and Elijah Moore could wind up better, or at least having better careers than Smith due to his thin frame.

I don't believe he's missed any time in college the past three seasons. I see 13 games played every year. Now granted....the NFL is a different animal. He will have to bulk up a bit. And I believe he will without losing anything from his game

Plus nowadays in the softer gentler NFL, guys do not get battered by secondary's like they used to

Your not the only one who disagrees. I saw a mock last night that had him going 21st. Injuries could be an issue with his weight but they can be an issue with any WR. We didn't have any skinny receivers last year but they were all hurt for multiple games. Even Cory Davis missed 3 games last year with Tenn. I just hope Devonta doesn't end up with Miami.

I think Smith is a really good prospect. I can't remember a receiver who jumped off the film like he does for a long time. It just seems like he has an extra gear over everyone else and his acceleration is elite too.

I do wonder if bulking up will negatively affect his speed. I'd worry a bit about him playing at 166. If he can get up to 180ish without losing speed I don't think his size will be a big concern.

What I would worry about with Smith bulking up is becoming less smooth. By smooth I mean how much speed is lost in cuts. What jumps out on his film is he loses almost no speed when he changes directions. Even on cuts after the catch, yet he can stop on a dime, which is all helped by being skinny. That's where the real separation happens and what would make him an elite force.

    Scary Terry only catches TDs.

At the very least can run clear out routes to open up the middle for Davis & Mims when we are in 10 and 11 personnel.

Does any other team have 3 WR's who are 6'3" or taller? IMO, we need a speed guy who can take the top of a defense more than another tall one.

Did you not see his highlights? All he does is take the top off a defense. Shorter doesn’t mean faster. He averaged close to 20 yards per reception for his career. He averaged 49 YARDS PER TOUCHDOWN in his career. That’s was second-highest among NCAA receivers with at least 15 touchdowns over past decade.

I didn't watch it. Will do so later tonight. Watching Tyreek Hill has me conditioned to believe that shorter WR's are typically faster.
