Great info, thanks a lot to you and Legler for posting this.

As far as Cowherd, you have to understand that he is just talking head on ESPN or whatever network he is on. These guys are everywhere, no one cares what they say. He is not an authority of any kind. If you have a guy who played QB before, like Orlvosky, actually seriously study tape, I would listen to him. But even he didn't really study these guys and is just a talking head at this point. I think a large chunk of posters on this board actually looked at the tape and will give better analysis than guys like that.

If you want to hear true expert opinions, find guys who played/coached before at a high level AND these who studied the tape of all prospects. That's why I enjoy takes of former NFL QBs/coaches, like Simms, Jenkins, JT O'Sullivan, Kurt Warner, who actually have credentials and take time to study the tapes of these prospects.

Do you not think he’s a first round prospect?

Since this is coming from such a knowledgeable poster like yourself, I may have to reconsider my point.

Guess then Wilson should not be drafted at all! You made very good points.

You don't need to be a football mensa to recognize what an idiotic stance that was.

The NFL community goes out of it's way to promote shaky picks at the top. More talent flows down the draft board to everybody else when that happens.

When you see a large body of NFL-associated commentators quoting sources praising a player who is not clearly great the usual reason is that they're all blowing smoke at the bad franchises at the top of the draft.

Usually this is not about a QB but about a really strange prospect with great measurables in some category but lack of production that would suggest they're going to be great. Dion Jordan is an example. He was the 6'6" 284 lb DE/LB with 4.5 speed that everybody was blowing smoke about in 2013 - leading to the Fins trading up to the #3 to take him. He was supposed to have great speed and coverage ability to go along with strong edge-rushing capabilities. All this despite the fact that he had 14.5 sacks over 3 years in college and no picks.

The issue wasn't just that the Fins reached for him in a huge way, it was also that they traded up to reach for him. Classic case of a team buying into the hype around a player and forgetting to actually watch enough film on him to remind themselves that the evidence suggested he was not such a great pick.

Cowherd is just salty because Wilson will end up replacing Darnold and Cowherd had already declared Darnold as the savior

He only has been posting almost the same identical passive aggressive juvenile attention seeking type comment at least 50 times everyday with some days well over a 100 times a day for 2 months now. I mean what is an an angry arrogant self entitled child supposed to do with his time other than spam, troll, harass and annoy those who have the gall to disagree with him? if he wasn't doing this we might all waste more time frequenting this board sharing information while celebrating the hope that a new draft class and QB brings.

I can't say it makes me particular mature but to answer question yes any activity is more mature than the guy who who has been spamming this board with 50 to 100 juvenile passive aggressive posts for the last two months. It is quite clear you are angry and upset that people disagree with you and the way you have answered is to troll people and try to make the board so toxic that all the people who disagree with you will leave or not want to visit the thread. So mature no but more mature than you yes. But mostly fed up at you being such a childish asshole and pissed off at what you have done to this board.
