I don’t know when disagreement turned into dismissal and not listening. You have to listen in order to disagree. I listened, appreciate his input but disagree with his ranking and the basis by which he came up with it.
You don't need analytics or numbers to understand this. Not to mention I think a lot of people misunderstand the different in the defenses. The Big 10, SEC, Pac 12 and ACC all employ pro style defenses. Four or five man fronts, four on the back end, three linebackers with NFL cover 3 and cover 4 coverages with man mixed in and the occasional cover 2. Most of the G5 conferences along with the Big 12 use variations of that 3-3-5 with the rush 3 drop 8 principles. It's the defense that tried to unsuccessfully counter the air raid. There's variations among it. But for the "Fields is a slow-processor crowd," Wilson's processing power will be reset when he faces defensive sets he's basically never seen, against pressure he's never really faced.
Even if QB-x is rated the lesser QB (now), if he goes to a better situation he'll be crowned the best QB in the draft. So much of a QB's success is determined by the team he goes to, I don't see how these experts can predict the QB rankings w/o knowing where they're going. Stick Lamar on the Jets or Sam on the Chiefs and these rankings become completely different. The same thing will happen with this crop of QBs.
PFF has been so terrible with QB ranking that I don't even take them seriously to be honest. And yes they have Zach Wilson ahead of Justin Fields but that still does not make them right. They had Tua 2nd overall last year and Herbert 30th overall. I put zero value on their opinion or ranking. Numbers are so different for all QBs because they are all in different situations. They were also laughing at Josh Allen because of his low % of completion during his draft year.
I don’t care about anyone’s QB rankings (PFF, Simms, Warner, O’Sullivan...etc.). I don’t even like to do rankings myself. When we are in the market, I generally just identify the one QB I want for my Jets. That said, I do put some value in PFF’s various gradings.

Fields was out for the year in his Sr HS season with hand break (12 week recovery). Played injured in multiple games this year with thumb and hip injuries. And that was last year. Zach was injury free completely last year and played more games. I would say the only item really worth citing is the shoulder surgery. I agree this is a concern, but it is at least in significant part remedied by the fact that medicals came back pretty much as good as they could have.
I've read/seen nothing to indicate that Wilson furthered the injury at BYU. He played in pain his freshman season and decided to get it fixed before his sophomore season. Wilson isn't as injury-prone as you're making it seem. I saw him take some big hits like when he hurdled defenders or launched his throwing shoulder into defenders and he didn't get injured. He's pretty tough. Injuries are a fact of life in football, and in the NFL. Even with Fields better build, with the lack of pressure awareness that he has and the sacks he takes, and with his constant running, he may be more likely to get injured in the NFL than Wilson.
Human nature is taking over Borat. People tend to gravitate and latch onto what they want to hear, no matter if the source is some arm chair walkie talkie or a pro that has done that all of his life. It appears to me that no longer matters the source, a wanna be U tube expert or HOF QB putting forth his opinion, it will be viewed either with skepticism or full acceptance depending on the persons view point. What is more apparent to me by reading the treads is that there is very little trust in this forum that JD and RS will do the right thing for our team, no matter who the pick is. Years of frustration are coming thru loud and clear, and distrust will not change till someone converts the Jets into a winner.
You need to understand that Fields takes a whole lot more contact than other QBs. Either he is being sacked or running 40 percent of the time he is pressured. His sack rate last year was double that of Wilson at 25 percent of pressures which to put in perspective is even higher than Sanchez's league leading disastrous 24 percent in 2011. Then factor in that Field's lack's pocket presence and awareness, that he has not played in a NFL type offense, that he or his WR's never had to make adjustments, may have to relearn his throwing motion and he is in for a huge learning curve at the pro level which means even more running and more hits. It is no wonder that Field's is a much bigger injury risk.

Love it. Done it myself. I noticed that once you start a response, even if you try to delete it before you send it, the next time you want to respond to something, the old one pops back up. Cant wait for the 29th. I will in Las Vegas and expect to watch it in the big screen somewhere. Let us hope this is the beginning of a new era for us Jet fans.
To your point, I have never minimized the concern about durability for Wilson, that is a valid and applicable consideration evaluating all QBs, but nor do I minimize my concern about QBs with superior physical talents and a style of play that risks a lot more exposure to pressures and sacks. Call me old fashion, but I want my QB well protected and in the pocket 95% of the time. So either pick, the style needs to address less exposure to the NFL hits which are an order of magnitude more dangerous than in college. I seen big boys like Ben, Cam, and others get injured and cringe every time I see the force of the hits they absorb.
