Look, we REALLY need a great 2021 AND 2022 draft to finally stock the team with talent. 2021 should be about the growth of Zack Wilson as an NFL QB. Lean on the run game, safe game plans, etc. Then kill it in the 2022 draft hopefully drafting at or near the top in every round.

To that end, I really don't wanna see a vet step in and win 2 or 3 meaningless games, knocking us down 8, 10,12 spots in the 2022 draft. ANY win not won by Zack will be very hurtful to our rebuild.

So, ya, James Morgan has had a full year in the NFL. He was drafted 2b our BUQB of the future. Our entire team is learning a brand new offense, so have Morgan and Wilson shadow each other throughout TC. Learn and burn together. Morgan was drafted as our BUQB last year, so now's the time.

 

I always liked him but watching him play was stressful. looked like his leg was being held up with tape. I was actually was worried for him. Good health and good luck to him in his future endeavors.

 

Curious does this say anything about James Morgans progress? Could he perhaps be ready to assume backup duties?

 

Players will do anything not to sign for the Jets.

Yep, Smith heard about Morgan and decided to retire instead of competing with him for the back up spot.

 

He took the easy way out. True greats will hang around after they are completely ineffective just to squeeze a few bucks out of the Jets.

Yeah.. and it cost the kid a year of experience. Morgan spent the entire year inactive.

 

His next snap in a pro game will be his first snap. Gase and Noggin had zero use for Morgan in 2020.

i want to see Morgan play a NFL game and see what he brings. Heck I am at this point hoping he is the QB of the New York Jets and the great story...LOL. I d like to buy his jersey? Does he even have a number?

The only real option left, unless somebody cuts loose after the draft?

 

Mullins knows the offense and is easily the best remaining choice. I don't know what we are waiting for?
