Unless one of the corners falls I think going Teven Jenkins at 23 and Humphrey at 34 will set this offensive line up for a loooong time.
I will be really disappointed if Douglas uses 23 on a CB or any defensive player. I will immediately think "Have we learned nothing?"
Farley is an interesting one. He will undoubtedly fall because of his injury but a lot of people have him top 5 in terms of talent. If he could be our true shutdown CB1, I wouldn’t complain. It will be harder to stomach a 4-3 linebacker at either pick.
I just don't see how even a "shut down corner" - which in today's NFL are as rare as unicorns - is more valuable than a stud OL for this team.
No it doesn't, but the higher the pick, the better talent to choose from, and the OL needs the most help of anything on this team. Until that's substantially addressed, I wouldn't consider any "D" pick.
It appears I can't quote posts with links in it. Daniel Kelly scouting for the Jets is a "nice story" but hardly a guy I would listen to when it comes to QBs. There is likely a reason he hasn't been hired since his time as a code cracker with the Jets.
