QBs in the same draft class are always forever linked. Comparing Wilson to Fields going forward is not some wild crazy controversial take. Poor Trubisky and Rosen it’s so unfair they are being compared to the other top QBs in their class.
Technically, Wilson should have the advantage cause he so far ahead in the “mental” part of the game, fast processor, quick release making him the “better system fit”. In addition to the fact his BYU offense is closer Shanahan’s offense than OSU’s gimmicky college offense.

2 weeks from tonight Zach Wilson will be a New York Jet. A new era is near. I am excited. Hopefully the Jets fans will unite around Wilson and support him, even the ones who would choose someone else at #2.
I will be honest. The haters will be sceptic until he delivers on the field. That's the nature of the game.
I will support him If he Is the pick. I will not be going all-In with him though until he shows that he is a high level QB for this team. I will not subscribe just because he was the pick at QB. I have strong reasons why he shouldn't be the pick. Until that's disproved, I will continue to be a skeptic. I hope he proves me wrong If he Is the pick. To me. Picking Zach Wilson is a very obvious SOJ move. Do we finally get a stud at the position? Do we pass on another elite talent like so many years before this? Do we finally get things right In the draft? Time will tell.

To be clear, you got involved with me here when I asked Poeman to clarify about the DWI or two that Jones had and you replied with a non sequitur about his having two Pro Days. I then repeated that Pro Days don't matter to me which apparently got you annoyed at my reference to Brady. It was all rather benign to me, after all like it or not (and I don't) Brady is the premier QB of the time and will always be a point of reference but it was enough to set you off on a foul tirade. I did not respond in kind but further explained about the game of HORSE and why Brady is not at all random. Take it for what it's worth.
I added a funny comment on why you wouldn't select him at 3 and not particularly just for you personally, a quip for all to laugh at, I am sure somebody liked it so therefore understood the humour, unlike yourself who again went into lecture mode over a jokey comment. Foul tirade lol ok 1 fuck as in I couldn't give a fuck about Brady and 1 shit as in Mac Jones had a shit pro day. Foul tirade, dear lord. The good news is hopefully at some point they will get bored with their antics and stop relentlessly trolling this board making whining crybaby posts whose only purpose is to annoy those that support Wilson like they do now in their efforts to derail all discussion and make the board so toxic that no one will want to post .
At some point people will get fed up with his behavior and hopefully they will ban him. Which is sad as he is very intelligent, has a lot to offer the board and I often agree with many of his posts. But, sadly his only purpose in posting here is to annoy, harass and divide the board.
Ban someone for feeling strongly about a QB selection? We would all of have been banned at some point already if that was the measure. Some people feel the team is going down the wrong path on a critical decision. I don’t mind taking a chance on Wilson (thought he should have at least competed with Darnold), but I understand the concerns that many have also.
This class of QBs is so overhyped that I doubt they live up to it. Personally I don’t think more than 1 or 2 will live up to their draft selection. I just hope we have one of them, and a lot of that will depend on how the organization supports the QB. It has to be way different than the criminal negligence just displayed with Darnold.
He is well beyond the point of posting because he feels strongly about a QB. He relentlessly posts (50 to 100 posts everyday) taunting and attacking Wilson supporters with the hope to drive away those who disagree with him by making this board so toxic no one else will post. In the beginning his posts had merit but now they are trolling spam. We are all jet fans and this a community and a family. How we treat each other is important. Sadly, his relentless spam posts try to make this board so toxic that only those who agree with him will post.
