But he understands “mental” part of the game.

Are you trying to compare him to college prospects?

Damn you Mahomes for making off platform throws now a prerequisite.

No it’s “your”. I’m not that smart but I’m just smart enough to know possessive pronouns is 1st grade English.

None of ESPN even seemed to understand off platform mechanics then.

They said Mahomes had "bad mechanics".

    Whoops.

I couldn't give a fuck about that Brady kid, I have no idea why Jets fans keep bringing him into discussions randomly.

I take it a game of horse = easy?

So easy that Mac Jones looked like a piece of shit twice, if you can't make throws in a pair of shorts with zero pressure how are you going to look when a huge brick shithouse is coming to flatten you for real?

I can understand the narrative, don't get too excited if they look like world-beaters because you know shorts and no pressure but to stink the joint out twice is more than a concern, game of HORSE or not.

    Pro days are meaningless

Skip the pro days, skip the combine. Evaluate the prospects based on their game film and/or (if they are seniors) the Senior Bowl (practice/game)

Then all you do is interview them on the visits to learn about their personality/desire.

The validity would likely be questioned as they would not believe that he actually knew his father.

Brady is no more random than how many Pro Days anyone has and both have as much to do with using a Pro Day as a measure of NFL success as that game of HORSE does to gauge a LeBron James. No one knows today if Brady ever had a ProDay and no one cares because it doesn't matter. Yeah, HORSE is easy, the only thing it has to do with the real game of basketball is that it uses a basket and a ball. Neither Pro Days for a QB nor HORSE have any sort of element of timing or defense.

From a life standpoint, if Lawrence was my kid or whatever, the comments might make me proud. But from a purely football standpoint it is a big red flag

I also dont think Lawrence's attitude like that is going to fit well with Urban Meyer. Meyer, like him or not, and I don't really, is all passion. Perhaps too much. This is the guy that told Percy Harvin on a recruiting visit that health issues almost caused him to retire but "God told me I need to coach you"

that guy is going to be a good fit with the "meh, its unhealthy to need to be the best" QB... ? yeah right!
