Here we go my third crack at it after the trades and only 2 weeks coming up to the draft. This is how I feel it plays out based on the players talent level and team need. Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence QB - No brainer pick. One of the best prospects I’ve ever seen. Jets - Zach Wilson QB - Jets roll the dice with the live arm BYU quarterback. *Trade* - 49ers - Justin Fields QB - I think the rumours on Mac or Trey are all a smoke screen for the clear favourite here in Fields. Falcons- Kyle Pitts TE - Super talented with awesome measurables. Gives Atlanta a Tony Gonzales threat once again. Bengals - Jamaar Chase WR - Everyone thinks it will be Sewell but Burrow bangs the table for Chase and they give it to him. *Trade* Dolphins- Davonte Smith WR - He just has IT. One of the best intermediate route runners I’ve ever analyzed that has a second gear speed. Lions -Penei Sewell OT - Lions start their rebuild from the inside out with the nasty LT. Panthers - Christian Darrisaw OT - Solid tackle that didn’t allow a pressure or sack last year. Huge upside. Broncos - Patrick Surtain CB - Denver adds to their secondary with the best DB in the draft. Cowboys - Rashawn Slater OT - The boys bulk up their OL. Giants -Jaylen Waddle WR - Giants add the deep threat they are missing. Eagles - Micah Parsons LB - Philly get a stud LB fall in their lap. *Trade* Patriots - Trey Lance QB - Let Lance develop behind Newton for a year. Vikings- Kwity Paye EDGE - They grab some help for Hunter on the line. *Trade* Chargers - Alijah Vera-Tucker G - Chargers bulk up their OL with the versatile AVT. Cardinals- Jaycee Horn CB - The cards need corner help and Jaycee is a stud. Raiders - Jaylen Mayfield OT - Chuckie continues to rebuild his OL and adds a nice tackle to their depleted OL. *Trade* - Bears - Mac Jones QB - He would be a perfect student under Dalton for a year. Football Team - Caleb Farley CB - Washington add a physical corner with good ball skills. *Trade* Dolphins- Najee Harris RB - Fins Take the pressure off Tua and he is an absolute stud. Colts - Joe Tryon EDGE- Colts need a pass rush and Tyron can get there. Titans - Jeremiah Owusu LB - Add a LB with huge upside to their D. Jets - Gregory Rousseau EDGE - Athletic freak and possibly the steal of the draft. Steelers - Creed Humphrey C - Pouncy retired Creed can step in day 1. Jaguars - Jaelen Phillips EDGE - Meyer is aggressive on D and will add pass rushers. Boom or bust with his injury history Browns - Azeez Ojulari EDGE- Browns add more pass rushers to take some double teams off Garrett. Ravens - Nick Bolton LB - They add to their line backers room. My personal favourite LB in the draft. Saints -Langdon Dickerson C/G - Their interior line needs help. LD can play all over the line. Packers - Kadarius Toney WR - They need speed and quickness at the WR position. Bills - Greg Newsome CB - Add a stud with White in their secondary. Chiefs - Tevin Jenkins OT - Protect PM at all cost. Bucs - Carlos Basham DL - Plug another prospect on the DL to get to the QB. 2nd round - Travis Etienne RB - Perfect fit for a wide zone run game and Travis Etienne has elite speed, can help in the pass game and help Wilson develop with a familiar stud in the backfield with him. 3rd round - Tyson Campbell CB - A raw talent with excellent ball skills, long corner, with athleticism, decent speed, will match up on big receivers and give them problems especially in the red zone. 3rd round (Sea) - Elijah Moore WR - Illusive playmaker that can run routes inside and out. Very quick in his breaks that leads to separation. 4th round - Royce Newman G - I love this kid from Ole Miss. He’s big, nasty, can pass protect and run block at a high level. He’s played both RT and guard. 5th round - Trea Berry TE - Big (6’7”)Tight end with athleticism and ability catching the football. Boom or Bust pick but worth the risk. 5th round (NYG) - Marcus Murphy S - small school kid with huge upside. Smooth and athletic player with good speed. 6th round - Tre Nixon WR - He missed some time this year with injuries but has big time upside. 6th round (Car) - Thomas Graham CB - smart slot corner that can cover and tackle. He’s under the radar for some reason but has played well as a 3 year starter.
Awesome work. Think I would take Jenkins in the first round and push off EDGE until next year. Also, I don't think Moore makes it to third round, especially not #86. I definitely see a team jumping on him in the second. He's a 1st team ALL-AMERICAN with 4.3 speed.
Haha nah I know the difference. This Moore actually played this season. 86 catches for 1200 yards and 8tds. 10+ catches in every game but one. 4.35 forty at his pro day. A little undersized but definitely an immediate starter in the slot in the nfl.
Cool I wasn’t sure because the Rondale Moore hype train has exploded. You could very well be right that he doesn’t make it but I have a gut feeling he’s there at the Sea 3rd
You could be right but I doubt it. Speed and production plus the Lane Kiffin factor makes me think he's going late second, possibly early third
I like looking at mock drafts and think you did a good job. That’s a hard choice at #23. Humphery was still there along with Newsome. Rousseau could be a monster. I probably would go with Newsome as I’ve heard EDGE will be strong in 2022 draft. Jets desperate for another starting CB to go with Hall. I don’t like the 34 pick I personally would go with top remaining OL there - maybe a tackle to go along with Newman in the 4th round. I like Campbell but don’t think he’ll be there in 3rd round. That’s where I would look for RB. Graham would be a steal in the 6th. Overall nice work .....
Nice job. I kind of doubt that Etienne will still be on the board at 34, so I would take him (or Harris if available) at 23. I'm not against Rousseau per se, but EDGE is a position that is much more risky. As we Jet fans know, drafting an athletic freak doesn't mean he'll get to the QB. I feel either of these two RB's will give guaranteed good production and help take the pressure off Wilson.
I just don't see it with Rousseau. I would honestly take almost anyone else that went after him in that first round over him, except for Bolton and Basham. Maybe if he went the Arik Armstead route, added 15-20 lbs and converted to a quick 3 tech, then maybe I could get on board but that's a lot of projection for a guy you take at 23. I'd honestly go for OL, give me Jenkins or Humphrey/Dickerson.
He’s going to be a stud in my opinion. The only reason he’s sliding is because of the opt out. He’s a top 10 pick if he played this year.
I'm all for drafting a RB but not with #23. One of Harris , Etienne or Williams will be there at #34.
