It's hard to say, because he started 2019 with mono. Came back, played some good games, some really bad games. Ended the year (7-6), which was fine for Year 2 considering all that happened. Then Year 3 was just a complete nose dive. I still really can't put my finger on what went so wrong so fast. It's unfortunate. That is a good point for Wilson though. We need to see progression from him year to year. I think we will.
his 1st game was just perfect about his potential. his fast pass he is too cocky, makes a bad decision. throws from one side of the field across to the other side and gets a pick 6. after that he went 16-20 2 TDs 0 INTs 198 yards 141.25 rating
gase didn't help. neither did injuries. he had no WRs. 1 of his starters last year for a few games isn't even in the league right now (hogan) The o-line was banged up and had 8 different starting combinations in 16 games. between all the new faces, gase, no off-season because of covid, injuries at o-line and WR 2 positions that were weak before injuries and awful after nobody would have been sucessful
I am sure there are heated debates and discussions going on now at Florham Park but on ranking each Position players and moving on to focus the next rounds of picks. I am interested to hear your insight on the 2nd and 3rd and 4th picks though.
Nah. JD & Co. are closely monitoring TGG and waiting for us to finally come to a consensus before they make up their minds. Why should they argue when we can do that for them?
Wilson took 2 chicks to the prom at once FYI. Should be in his scouting report I'm not gonna embed the pic, but its hilarious and can be seen at the link https://www.12up.com/posts/byu-qb-z...s-to-his-high-school-senior-prom-01dkwjkd7tz5
I think we Jet fans should've known when his first professional pass was a pick six. Sure he won the game, but when you lead the FBS in turnovers and that's how you start your career. C'mon man.
Well hey..if people are gonna throw out the Mahomes comp over & over again..it sure provides perspective no?
Well, the ability to multitask and handle pressure from two different directions is a key trait of successful QBs!
Methinks the saltiness comes from you. I didn't say there's anything wrong with people here agreeing/disagreeing on topics. I'm just poking fun at those who take their own opinions so seriously that they seem to think Douglas is actually listening to what we have to say. That you took offense to this shows that maybe you're taking all this too seriously.
That’s you “inferring”. I don’t believe any of us on either side of this debate thinks Douglas is actually listening. That’s a stretch.
This isnt meant as a shot & has zero to do w my feelings on him as a prospect but after seeing this pic, several interviews & his pro day i can safely say he has the aura & maneurisms of a 16 year old equestrian student at a prestigious All girl’s boarding school.
