I disagree. Just because Wilson can throw the ball with a variety of arm angles and off platform doesn't mean that his mechanics aren't solid. In the analysis videos, it is pointed out that even when Wilson throws off platform, he is using his torso to get torque, and his mechanics are solid.

It’s the nature of the beast. They all have strong convictions about a specific candidate and play up the weaknesses of the rest. Case in point when Mahomes throws similar off balance or under his armpit throws they all sing his praises because they have never seen anything like it. I’m not saying he is close to a Mahomes, but the criticism is solely based on who one likes and why, and belittle the rest. I frankly don’t give a shit about anything but put all my faith in this new regime. That is all that matters. If they fail me. I will fucking give up. I’m too old to go thru another rebuild or another QB search.

JD clearly said there are two QBs above everyone else in the draft, and he could not trade Sam because he was afraid one of them could fail physical or something else. It is very obvious he identified two overall QBs and needs them both to clear, since we have #2 pick, and if one of them does not clear we will need Sam. I think these two guys are Trevor and Wilson. I haven't really considered Trevor seriously and didn't study his film like I did others since I didn't think there is a chance he falls, but based on what I saw I don't think I would pass on him if I had a top pick.

I wonder if the Jacksonville forums are talking about TV like we're talking about ZW. Anyone have a link?

I think you nailed it. When you already have a QB under contract the coaching staff can work with, you don't trade him away while you're less than 100% sure about the draft. It wasn't until JD attended the pro days he felt he could safely move on from Sam and it wouldn't come back to bite him.

Have they had their physical? Otherwise this theory doesn’t hold water

Fields feels like Watson draft situation 2.0. Guy has played at a high level for years and ppl have gotten bored with him or just never liked him. I think Wilson is the going to be the pick but I think Fields is gonna have the best 1st year out of the top 3

Or Maybe it is the next Mahomes/Watson situation! Both Wilson/Fields become superstar! :p

It could happen for sure, it also all depends on the situation the players goes into and if it fits

I am just calling out how he is wrong about all of them. Not just Wilson, these guys are firing bullshit out of their asses.

He literally tweeted that he has no real basis for his comps...so stop acting so miserable about my opposition to it.
If he has been hitting on his comps I certainly don't mind, but he's just a name who people like following so he does these nonsensical matches based on a profile.

Yes. I had Wilson, Lawrence, Lance a few months ago but Lawrence keeps dropping for me. He is getting closer to Fields. And Fields I don't like but I am open to the idea that he could look better than his worst detractors think.

The more I look at Lance the more I realize he is WAY TOO LOW on almost every board. He is better than Allen and Herbert coming out.

    1.Wilson
    2.Lance

    3.Lawrence
    4.Fields

    5.Mac Jones
    6.Davis Mills

Thanks for linking. The 2nd poster nailed it. One might like Zach Wilson better than TL but Wilson's floor is much lower which is what makes TL the smart pick. I still dream about having a top 5QB but mostly I want a competent QB. I just want a QB who is not the worst in the league nor one of the 5 to 10 worst. That would be a huge improvement over the last 12 years. With TL you know with a strong certainty you are getting a competent QB. I cannot say that about the rest of the QB prospects. That said I am still excited about the jets decision to pick Wilson.

There was a report Jets got all Wilson's medical data recently and were convinced he was cleared.

    Trask, Mond?

I liked Lance but I am not going to get my wish once again, I also looked at Davis as a late round pick up, to see what he had in camp and then ps

I watched a lot of Mond early in his career , thought he was worth monitoring. I don't see starter arm talent.

Trask reminds me of Mason Rudolph.
