If you wouldn't use any of our first 3 picks on OL, then I'm glad that you're not our GM as you'd get our QB injured. We need at least one starting OG out of the draft, need better depth at every OL position, and will need a RT in a year or two at most. You aren't getting a day one OG starter in the 3rd round unless you're really lucky.

Repeat these words to yourself 100 times a day: Nothing is more important than protecting our rookie QB.

    :p:D

Sorry, but he's not a fit for our blocking scheme. He isn't mobile, athletic enough, and he stays injured.

I don't think he's a scheme fit. He doesn't have the mobility/agility/speed to do that every game. He is seen more in a power scheme, a straight ahead blocker.

Not a scheme fit imo and he's been injured a LOT.

We DO have a 6th round pick. In fact, we now have two of them.

neither is falele. it's just a spotlight not necessarily all players we should draft. there are a few I definitely want though. hawkins in the 6th and wiggins in the 4-5th. 1 WR eskridge is probably best but warren jackson in the 6th intrigues me a lot for his red zone ability but I don't think he's a great fit for the offense. definitely need a Lber as well. mcgrone is a guy I like a lot but I haven't spotlighted him yet and should be available in the 3rd. Wildgoose is a good late round CB as well maybe in the 5th or 6th.

Yeah that was posted back when it had us listed as no 6th and a 7th. now we have 10 picks with the sam trade. 2 1sts, a 2nd, 2 3rds, a 4th, 2 5ths, and 2 6ths. we could trade down in the 2nd for more picks as well depending how the players fall.

I like Shi Smith better than either Eskridge or Jackson, especially Jackson. Shi Smith would be our future slot WR, is very fast and shifty, and is a PR as well, which we desperately need.

I know that we just added the 6th round pick from Carolina, but we've always had a 6th round pick that we got from the Patriots in a draft trade last year.

i like smith too but prefer esridge. I also like tutu as a late round pick. Jackson is later then all them though. I'd only take him in the 6th if we haven't taken a WR yet. he could be a huge help in the red zone. his size and contested catch skills remind me of plaxico buress. plus he'd make a great blocker on the outside

I like Eskridge a lot, but he isn't a PR, is he? If not, who is going to return punts?

he can return punts. hawkins if we draft him also can. we could also give ty johnson a shot

    https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/dwayne-eskridge/gWaG0gKDbn

Scheme Fit: No. 3 wide receiver with the potential to turn into a consistent No. 2 or slot option. Eskridge can be a Day 1 starter as a returner on kickoffs or punts.

    Spotlight 21
    Cameron Mcgrone MLB
    6-1 232lbs
    Estimated draft round 3

Analysis: We need some LBers for salehs system so i know I focused heavily on them but here is another. I'm now thinking we can wait until the 3rd to draft one and mcgrone is the reason. a perfect 4-3 Mike LBer who's rangy can shoot gaps and drop into zone. relentless to get after the ball and could anchor our defense for a long time

In normal years there's a list of the guys the Jets brought in for a visit. It is usually a good indication of who they will take in the mid/late rounds.

I understand this year would be different. Anyone find a list of the guys they "zoom called" with?

I was just on SiriusXM NFL blitz of anyone was listening (Dave from Long Island).

Talked about doubling up OL at #23 and #34 then gave my endorsement for D'Wayne Eskridge WR Western Michigan in the third. I've been pumping him up for weeks. If you haven't done so, go check him out. Hosts agreed with me that he's explosive and said he would probably go earlier if this wasn't such a deep WR draft.

literally everyone. since it's on zoom all teams have had meetings with pretty much every prospect
eskridge is in my thread. I like him a lot and i mocked him to the jets as well in my mock. with that said 3rd is too high. he's a 5th round guy. and the jets seem to like schwartz so i'll trust JD but i like eskridge better personally

I really like Schwartz and wouldn't be too disappointed is he's the pick.

I think Eskridge is going somewhere in the third. He's been reportedly moving up boards since his the pro day when he absolutely balled out. His test numbers compare with the first rounders and his tape matches. FWIW, he's ranked as high as #55 overall prospect by cbssports. I'm not saying that's the gold standard, but I wouldn't be shocked if some teams feel the same way. Plus, I heard his interview on SiriusXM a few weeks ago. Solid kid.
