is too not have a blowout against Oakland. I really don't want to have a 42 - 7 point game. I just don't want to end the season with the Jets destroying the 2nd worst team in football and thinking they're so great then underestimating in the playoffs. I know Mangini won't because he's the coach but....yeah....don't want a blowout
id like to see (depending on the score) clemens come into the game to play out the 4th qtr. i want a blowout. F the raiders. and i want clemens to throw 2 tds....to cotch and see cotch crack 1000 yds.
I am with KOWIE. I would love to see a blowout. Early too. 1.5 quartes of Clemens in garbage time would be great.
I wouldn't be worried about blowing them out, I'd be more concerned with them being sure to WIN the game... I know that's my concern. I don't care how they win, as long as they do.
A blowout going into post-season would give the team a huge boost in morale and belief (if they need it) in their ability , last placed team or not. To be honest I would be amazed if that happens. Theres going to be alot of the better players hurting from this season and will look to go out on a high.... We will see.
I just don't want the players feeling overconfident. Remember 02 when they destroyed the Colts the first round 42-0 then got destroyed by the Raiders the next week.
JetFanInPA is right. Lets just win, not worry about how we are going to win. Just get it done. A blowout would allow some players to rest in the second half and avoid injury.
getting thrashed by the raiders was a small price to pay after kicking peyton in his balls. in any case, a win comes first....but a blowout would be just lovely. anytime you can piss on al davis and "the art shell era" you should jump on it.
I agree... get the game in hand early, pull the starters for some rest and get Clemens some work... Best case senerio

yea im just hoping for a win i dont care how, and this game should not be overlooked, but i dont know what i will do if the jets lose this game. oakland is ranked dead last in total offense and in scoring.. and around the bottom 5 in both rushing and passing. the defense sucks. number one in pass defense, great. i wonder why? teams dont have to pass to win so they dont. look at the numbers. theres only 2 teams in the nfl that average less than 30 passes a game against. oakland is one. wanna guess the other? yep, indy. both at around 25 passes against per game. so oakland has the "number 1 rated pass d," guess who has number 2? yep, right again, indy. oakland is 27th in the league against the run, 2 behind the jets. this is a horrible team and the jets will have to screw up badly to lose this one. either that or the nfl is fixed.

all i know is that the jets winning this game will be one hell of a way to kick off the new year!!! im loving that the game is on new years eve!!! gives everyone a reason to start the hammering process earlier in the day...

Raiders have a good enough D, and we don't have a good enough O to run up 40+ on anybody. It'll be something like 21-9 Jets.
