His track record Is okay. He has been wrong though. He thought Lamar Jackson was worse than Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, and Baker. Meh. I know he's been wrong a fair share of times. As most people are who evaluate. It's impossible to be perfect with this kind of thing. So he has been right too, this I agree with. He's also been wrong several times too. Goes both ways. I still know he Is very capable of being wrong, I have a eyes and a brain too. I know I'm wrong In life, I know I get things right too. I may not get paid to be right or wrong, I still have an educated evaluation that I feel confident In. So I guess I'm just getting at.. When someone claims that because you go AGAINST the media, you are wrong for doing so. That's asinine to me and a horrible point to make when trying to establish a case for an argumentized defense or stance within a debate of this nature. People have their own opinions and brain to make said opinion. That to me Is far more respectable than just following some media figure blindly because they claimed It to be so. I think more people fall Into the trap of blindly following, more than you think. I truly think a lot of people will just eat up whatever Is being thrown out there.
Final Chris Simms rankings (QB 2018): Josh Allen Josh Rosen Baker Mayfield Lamar Jackson Sam Darnold I mean.. You win some, you lose some. The only thing that get's me about this Chris Simms hype, Is that people are acting like It's a guaranteed assessment. Slam dunk. No way he's wrong, he's never wrong. blah, blah, blah.. Obviously he gets It wrong too. Time Is the only thing that will tell the truth In reality. So... Time will tell. We shall see.
Yeah I know but I’m sure there was a tiny little bit of truth in there or else it’s not funny. Zach’s army can be intimidating.
Even Trevor Lawrence isn’t a slam dunk IMO. He has some good traits. I really don’t know what to expect or compare him to. Fields does have his weakness. While he does seems to hold on to the ball longer than anticipated, ala Ken O’Brien, Joe Flacco, Perhaps another point he doesn’t read blitzes well or alignment. But I think some say here that he has been exposed to good defensive teams and has done well in some of those games. Maybe that is a terrible way to gauge assessment but curious how Wilson fares vs good defensive teams? Good? Scrambles? Reads well?
it's not my issue. it's yours. if you want to ignore the obvious in hopes things turn out the way you want then thats on you. I wouldn't try to work as a detective though
He's basically setting himself up to be a Jets basher here. If the guy doesn't develop into Rodgers/Mahomes talent, the Jets developed him wrong. Which may end up being true but it won't be the reason he isn't Mahomes.
I’m not ignoring shit. I just know for a fact Douglass hasn’t confirmed that Wilson is the pick. Do you know what the definition of confirm is?
eh the haskins thing is forgivable. he is more talented then jones. he just turned into a lazy fuck who didn't want to improve and thought he could get by on natural talent alone. stuff like that is hard to predict. i mean look at albert haynesworth. dude was a monster. got a huge contract then just gave up after he got paid.
technically nothing is confirmed until the pick is in. even if JD 100% came out and said i'm taking wilson. it's a done deal. you could call it a smokescreen. even FAs who "sign deals" the few days before the year starts when legal tampering starts isn't confirmed because it's not inked. All but confirmed or 99.99999% likely is more accurate but at that point your just splitting hairs for the sake of splitting hairs
Bingo!!! Same way all the draft “experts” that had Darnold as the top QB in 18 can bring themselves to admit they were wrong.
How is calling Drew Lock a first round talent reasonable? If you watched him at all in college he stat-stuffed his line against the extreme bottom feeders of the SEC like Arkansas and Tennessee and tuneup G5 games. He had 26 of his 44 touchdowns in 2017 against Missouri State, Idaho, UConn, Arkansas and Vanderbilt. 16-32 excluding Missouri State's FCS record. The results were similar in 2018.
Lock is a 1st round QB like Christian Ponder was a first round QB. Yeah, they went in the 1st round but are they really 1st round QBs?
Now I heard it all. The guy is complimenting the Jets for trading Sam and likely drafting Zach, and yet he is actually being a Jets basher! Simply remarkable.
This is not you win some, you lose some. This is pretty spot on. Plius he called Mahomes as top pick as well.
The guy has ended up starting for two seasons in NFL and is in a mix to start for this year. Sure, he is not a star, but 1st round talent doesn't mean that.
Aw that's right, not only did the Jets already draft the guy but he's already playing at Mahomes level.
Except for his FINAL rankings did not reflect that. People look at things other people randomly throw onto the internet without checking for themselves. Go look at Simms final rankings. It wasn't that. Again. You win some, you lose some.
