We got a winner!!!!! Johnny Manziel for both reports!!!! Regardless of the reports, so hard to judge players because they are all talented. Now whether they are NFL talented is sometimes a crapshoot. Whoever is going to be our QB, hopefully he is the real deal and a good one...
I never used that criteria, I just referred to Mark by his butt fumble nickname and jokingly mentioned this was one difference between them. Really that's the difference between Mark and pretty much everyone! I did say before Mark to me seems a bit off in a lot of his takes. I always felt that way about him, not just now, when he was making case for Sam or Mitch before, and others. Most recent being the one where he said to remove specific plays (INTs) from Fields. He was unwilling to acknowledge he had a couple of bad games - just a few bad plays. Let's take all INT plays away, which is a small percentage of overall plays, and we are golden!
So everyone in the media is wrong and a couple of people who badly want us to draft fields on a message board knows way more lol
I’m gased and confused again. So everyone in the media has reported that Joe Douglas “confirmed” Wilson is the pick?
I hope you’re’ right. I really do. Just curious if you are basing on other reports, observations etc...I have see. Maybe about two games, and can’t tell that he s the next Elway, Marino level. If you can, great, I hope you can share your insights.
The media get's It wrong more times than not. They also have an extreme influence on people, people eat It up, without putting much thought Into It. Which Is kinda scary.. I mean. Chris Simms QB rankings are so influential (bad, IMO), he has managed to put Kellen Mond on a lot of peoples radar. "Wait.. Kellen Mond Is better than Justin Fields? Well shit, this can't possibly be click bait, well, because Chris Simms said It wasn't. So, It must be true, right? I need to go see this kid's highlight reel on YouTube now!!" I don't feel like most of the people on this board even knew Kellen Mond existed until this was put out there by Chris Simms. As If he has never got It wrong before.. He's been wrong too. This mentality of just following the media's drivel because It's the media, Is asinine. To each their own though.
guess it means t-law isn't going 1st either. clearly it's all a smoke screen and jax is taking mac jones, jets are taking sewell and running with morgan. niners traed up for fields. lawerence falls to the pats at 15 you'll see soon enough. sorry your not getting your guys but it is what it is. keep holding onto that hope though. clearly understanding situations isn't your strong suit and you'll just have to wait until his name is called. JD could go on TV right now and say i'm 100% drafting wilson and you'd call it a smoke screen. the 2 teams most plugged into the jets FO (niners and eagles) both made trades right after the jets met wilson with the eagles saying they only wanted wilson so they backed out of a trade for 3 and traded down instead but keep living in denial land QB rankings aren't even close to comparable to several well known reporters who are rarely if ever wrong reporting on it. shefter is one of the most reliable reporters out there and even texted wilson "welcome to NY"
People listening to Simms is because he has a good track record. Maybe Kellen or Trask or some other QB will be the star of the draft it has happened before. Every single QB in the draft is a risk including TL. I do not think people blindly follow the drivel, although some do, but most listen to multiple sources. To so definitively state Justin is better than Zach is really nothing more than your opinion. He has just as much chance at busting as Zach does. I hope all these Qbs are successful but history tells us otherwise. Look at 2018.
Simms has not always been right, I agree, but his record is darn good, particularly since 2017. As far as Paxton Lynch, he had them rated as Wentz, Lynch, Goff in that order. He did call Wentz as the best QB of the three correctly. Even his take on Goff that he was not as good as people thought and is #1 guy turned out accurate. Lock he called a first round talent, which is not unreasonable at all. He was also wrong when he thought Haskins is better than Daniel Jones. He was definitely wrong before, but these were not major screw ups, which pale in comparison to the hits of Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Murray, etc... The point is that someone with record like his, who also happens to be a former NFL QB himself, comes from QB family, shouldn't be dismissed when he is so adamant about someone.
I would say there are some wrong in the hype leading up to the draft but it is pretty clear that Zach Wilson is a very polarizing figure. Some love him others hate him. I find it a bit hilarious to be honest. I also wanted Josh Allen because I liked his tools the most but that does not mean I am a QB guru and that what I believe now is the truth. I also like Justin Fields tools but he is certainly not a slam dunk pick either. He will also have a steep adjustment to identify NFL defensive coverage and to release the ball quicker. That is learnable granted but he is not the perfect QB as some make it believe either. I remember one stats that showed Fields as the QB the most sacked of the top 5, I looked more into that and it was not because his offensive line was terrible, it was mostly due because he has hard time releasing the ball quicker. That is why some teams are pausing on him a bit, when the pressure is on him he also take even more time to release the ball! only QB to do that btw. It's another red flag as he has hard time identifying the upcoming rushing players prior to the snap. I love his rushing abilities and he IMO that is his best traits as he can escape bad situations and turn it into positive plays but that is also not that easy in the NFL with QB spy and more physical and athletic players around.
