Why I believe Zach Wilson is going to be successful

Do you see any Wilson fans employing sarcastic deification of the Fields supporters expert analysts?

 

Why? I can point to countless examples of Fields fans being bitter. Many of them are in this thread alone. Show me examples of Wilson fans doing the same.

 

I don’t believe anyone is being bitter. I guess my bitterness tolerance is greater than yours.

 

If this thread gets any more like West Side Story we may need to start producing Team Zach and Team Justin avatars for the rumble the day before the draft.

Well I understand, hopefully we can all respect one’s opinion and it’s ok to disagree. No matter what happens all Jet fans (I think) want to win regardless if they are right or wrong. We’re fans and we act like we have answers for everything where in fact these guys at FO knows a lot more than we do.

 

So far from the Fields camp we have:

-I'll no longer be a fan of the team if Wilson is the pick.
-I don't belong in this fanbase anymore if Wilson is the pick.
-There's racism at play if you're questioning Fields.
-Guys with great track records should suddenly not be trusted if they prefer Wilson over Fields.
-Advanced metrics should not be trusted if they prefer Wilson, even if they've been more accurate than most analysts lately.
-It's not fair to question whether or not Ohio State's offense makes QB prospects look better than they are in the NFL.
-Wilson is an entitled brat, we have an unsourced rumor that said so! Unsourced rumors about Fields' worth ethic are BS though.

But yeah, Fields fans, keep telling yourselves you're the reasonable, objective ones here.

You Wilson guys have now spent five pages making your case that fans that prefer to draft Fields are jerks. We get it. Stop crying.

 

I think Fields has the most upside but he will require the most adjustment and development from a coach point of view.

Zach Wilson is more a fit right now and would require minimal adjustment to the way we play.

I would rather target upside but hopefully Wilson can become at least like a Baker Mayfield.

 

I'd like to believe all Jets fans are more interested in them winning than in themselves being right, but after the past couple of weeks I'm beginning to doubt this.

In 3 years after the dust has settled (Wilson vs Fields) it's safe to say 1/2 of TGG will no longer be considered 'in house experts'. These threads never go away. But hey, maybe there'll be another server crash and we can all claim to have picked the winner way back in 2021!!!

NEVER, EVER draft a QB from USC or Ohio State. after hackenberg, add Penn State to the list, also.
