When Darnold was drafted the only offensive player the Jets selected in the first three rounds during his first two seasons was Chuma Edoga.

After drafting Wilson the Jets are going to have:

    (3) firsts
    (3) seconds
    (3) thirds

    in the next two years.

Plus we drafted a first round LT last year, along with a Second round WR.

This offense needs to have actual draft assets put into it now.

It feels like we have spent just as many first and second round picks in the last 10 years on quarterbacks as we have on other offensive players.

    Geno Smith 1 X 2nd round pick
    Hackenberg 1 X 2nd round pick
    Darnold 1 X 1st round pick and 3 X Second round picks.

    Vs

    Stephen hill 1 X 2nd round Pick
    Jace amaro 1 X 2nd round Pick
    Devin Smith 1 X 2nd round pick
We drafted 3 QBs at this point with these three second round picks as the other investments.

    Mount Beckton 1 X 1st round pick
    Denzel Mims 1 X 2nd round pick.

Investment is needed, otherwise it just won't change. One thing is for sure, we now have the picks to support a new QB.

He will be successful if JD does for him what the Bills did for Allen, the Browns did for Mayfield, and the Ravens did for Jackson.

Curious if JD would use the 2nd rounder to draft a Pat Freiermuth. Then you have a nice potential 1-2 punch...mostly in case Herndon just never puts it together.

There is a big difference. The Wilson supporters are not aggressively trolling and attacking Fields and their supporters at every opportunity. The Fields supporters seem very insecure with a need to attack others which is pretty sad and pathetic.

We are all jet fans and we are wrong pretty much as often as we are right. Who cares what are opinions are. Whether we draft Wilson, Fields or Kellen Mond I will support the pick and hope he develops into a FQB,

Hmm seems like Wilson fans care and care a lot. We’re poking fun at Chris Simms and his rise to deity levels. People are taking it personally and calling others sad & bitter. I never seen anyone take offense to Kiper or McShay jokes. Mind you Wilson is not even a Jet yet. This is comical to me.

gotta hit on those draft picks though. They are meaningless unless they pan out. And multiple talented players have left the building to make that haul, including 2 pro-bowlers in their own right

And what exactly did JD do to support Darnold’s development?
I mean other than supporting Gase, stripping him of any talent and downgrading the roster?

will he approach Wilson different because he’s “his guy”?
Let’s hope so but he was just as culpable in wasting Darnold as an asset here.

Just seeing this list makes me sad. Stephen HIll, Jace Amaro, Devin Smith vs. Geno Smith and Hackenberg. Which was a bigger waste? LOL. You'd think we'd hit once in a while on a good player just out of dumb luck.

It would make a lot of sense. LaFleur will probably want a Kittle 2.0. and Freiermuth looks like he could fit that mold.

And I don't get why the TE position is so neglected; a great TE is a HUGE benefit: Look at what Gronk did for the Pats and Bucs, or Kelce with the Chiefs, Kittle with the Niners, Witten with the Cowboys...and yet, teams STILL dismiss the value of a good tight end. If you have a good TE, you don't necessarily need a #1 receiver; you really only need two #2 guys. It's hard to believe that Kyle Pitts is the first TE in years who is getting consideration for a top 10 pick.
