Yes, I have heard of all of them and none ever faced such a weak season as Zach Wilson just did, even if that mattered. Why are you asking me about Ohio State? Wilson went to BYU and never faced Ohio State. Ohio State quarterbacks bear no relevance to what Wilson's capabilities are. The question is why should Wilson's performance in the Cupcake Conference be indicative of what he can do against the far better opponents in the NFL?
Well, apparently we will find out how concerned GMs and HCs are about the cupcake schedule very early in the draft, because according to most all reports, if not the Jets then SF will jump on Wilson with the third pick. We shall see on the 29th, but if true, it appears from those with a reputation for having a great offensive mind and actually coaching an NFL team that they don't seem to be overwhelmed by the cupcake schedule of Wilson as a true measure of his capabilities.
The draft won't tell us anything about Wilson's ability to face NFL defenses; that will happen on the field.
Like any other QB. But the draft will tell us about the strength of schedule concern as a red flag not to draft him high.
Wilson is not in green and white yet so I don’t take Wilson criticism as Jets hate. I doubt Wilson fans take Fields criticism as Jets hate either.
I think he understands there is a 95% chance the Jets draft him. He is getting an early start on the pessimism.
I'll probably get flamed for this too, but IF we pick a QB at 2, be it Wilson, Fields or Lance, the probability that neither of them will start the season for us IMO is much higher than people think. So who will be our starter as the rookie develops and the OL jells? If not Sam we are rapidly running out of better options.
