It's a sign of weakness if you ask me.

Do we have any evidence of Fields being an especially hard worker to counter this? We have some on Wilson being one, by all accounts he has no life outside of football. Honest question.

No, we need to be fair. No corroboration was needed before, none is needed now. This report is siting multiple anonymous sources, therefore must be legit, right? Time to rip these drawers off in one swift motion and start squatting to be fair.

    Yes there is:

Seriously though, to me this is EXACTLY the same type of BS that came out on Wilson, I am talking about identical type of stuff. Not like Darnold throw vs Zach's throw tweet. People are putting a lot of anonymous garbage out there. Yet some people were swallowing this when it came to Zach faster than Deshaun Watson off a straw during his felcher massage. I am just wondering if the same folks will give the same reaction for same report on Fields.

Sure lacked the desire to be great when he took a brutal shot to the ribs and threw 6 touchdowns after that in the CFB playoff against Clemson.

Eh, let's not equate toughness with work ethic/study habits. Different things.

    If it’s a 1st or high 2nd sure.
Otherwise I’d hold and increase our options at the most important position on team.

If Fields wanted to go to BYU coming out of HS, does anyone think BYU would pass because he doesn’t fit or is incapable of running their system?

depends on the jets plans. if they want to do a brees/rivers type situation sure.
If they are 100% done with sam and ready to move on then no reason to keep him if we can get anything of value back

Sure, but if he didn't want to be great, do you think he'd have gone out there with a rib injury?

Also, I work in education and studying is different for everyone. Some people legitimately do not need to spend hours upon hours of studying, while others need to do it to grasp concepts. Obviously film study compared to academic work is a little different, but some people just have an affinity for learning.

you know he transferred because fromm beat him out for the starting job at georgia. College is also a different animal then the NFL due to high turnover and no time to mold players into a system and the inbalance of talent on teams.

It's an awful "farm system" for players compared to baseball.

Agreed, but the point is that vague character concerns have been taken as legitimate by the anti-Wilson crowd for a while here. Gotta be consistent and take these at face value for Fields as well.

Study habits are a bit different than potential leadership qualities. It's a bit easier to decipher if you think someone will be able to lead a group of men based on their perceived personality than if someone is working hard behind the scenes or not.

Either way, I'll still take Fields over Wilson in a heartbeat. Now their character question marks are on a level playing field though.

If you saw UGA spring ball you would know Fromm didn’t win that competition based on play. That was a seniority stick w/ the guy that won the prior year thing.

The captain business was proven to be wrong as well by the bloody big C on his jersey. So the expert that aired his concerns and said he wasn't a captain, just made a twat of himself instantly.

How they get paid to do this job is beyond belief.

  19. Give me the leader of men & warrior in the clutch.

Theres only gonna be one Peyton Manning.Film study is a given.
