Some people legitimately do not need to spend hours upon hours of studying, while others need to do it to grasp concepts. Obviously film study compared to academic work is a little different, but some people just have an affinity for learning.

Study habits are a bit different than potential leadership qualities. It's a bit easier to decipher if you think someone will be able to lead a group of men based on their perceived personality than if someone is working hard behind the scenes or not. Either way, I'll still take Fields over Wilson in a heartbeat. Now their character question marks are on a level playing field though.
