It's not cherry picking anything. It shows what he did against P5 opponents. Brady played in the B10 and Mahomes in the B12, no comparison. Furthermore, Wilson will never be either Brady or Mahomes, book it.

Some Jets fans are acting as if the NFL looks at Wilson as a loser/sure bust and Joe Douglas is some whacko who is wasting the #2 pick on him. That is not the case. A lot of the league likes Zach Wilson. And for good reason. He has some injury and durability concerns, but he is worth the risk.

Joe Douglas never plans on picking in the Top 2 or even Top 5 again as a GM. So if Wilson is who he wants to build his franchise around, he must have a good reason for it, and Jets fans (even the Fields lovers) should embrace it.

I think part of the issue is the Jets have been so bad for so long that fans just ASSUME the player will fail. SOJ luck. Maybe, just maybe, things are changing around here........

How many members do you think put it together that we drafted him last season?

A lot? What's your point? I thought it was a very questionable pick and figured JD wanted a backup. I never thought this guy would be a starter.

i mean 99.9% of QBs will not be mahomes or brady. that's a shit compairson. brady was garbage in college and mahomes didn't fare well either.

You tend to forget all those games against P5 teams was during a season he was banged up badly with injuries to his throwing shoulder and throwing hand.

josh allen college career % is 56.2

Cause his defense was shit. Evaluate the player not his team or scheme. Imagine accounting for over 800 yards & 6 TDs and still lose.

he threw a lot of TDs but didn't win a lot of games. he was 5-7 his final year. he also threw a ton because his defense was poo. Overall guys like davis webb and baker mayfield were comparable or better stat wise and won games.

Stats don't mean much at all with college. you have to watch the film and see what they can do and how it translates to the NFL

mahomes looked great on film. that was the point. he lost a lot of games though, didn't beat good team, and stat wise baker was better and webb was comparable. which was my point. stats/wins in college don't mean crap.

Brady wasn't garbage in college. Stop making shit up. Did you watch him against Florida in the Orange Bowl his senior year? Clearly not if you're making such an ignorant statement.

Injuries are just another excuse. If you can't stay healthy then you're not worth the pick.

garbage is harsh. more like mediocre. nothing compared to the stats of most top QBs. he was also a 6th rounder with a ton of flaws. he was a shit prospect anyway you look at it. but he worked his ass off, wound up in a good situation and dominated the league. it only further proves all my points.

yes, this is the quote...not good.
In his career, Wilson went 3-4 with nine touchdown passes and five interceptions against Power-5 and ranked opponents. In his other starts, he was 16-5, with a 46-10 touchdown/interception ratio.

Clearly beating up on inferior talent. Wilson has bust written all over him and so does Fields...I'd trade the #2 for a kings ransom and roll with Sam for this year. We need talent and depth before a high risk QB at #2.

If Joe D misses at #2 with a QB, it takes the franchise 4 years to recover (what we're seeing now). Get me some team talent and a top 15QB and we will be fine
