Good analysis - missed and underthrown a few, but accurate and a good workout overall. If people had questions about arm strength, he answered them.
I didn't get to see much of Mac Jones today, so I want to see the video when it comes up on Youtube, but from what I did see, I expected better. That said, his body of work shows that he's incredibly accurate, so why he hasn't shown that today (and on his first PD) is puzzling. I wouldn't throw out his entire body of work over two artificial throwing sessions, but it makes me want to back off my earlier assessment that he was the 3rd best QB coming out. Again, I want to go and rewatch his first PD and then this one before commenting further on him. Fields showed me why he could actually be the Jets pick at #2. Even though I think Wilson is better, Fields certainly has the tools to be as good as anyone, even if he's not quite there yet. And then there's the "air of the competitor" that he gives off, and has shown in big games which is a big plus for me. Again, I still want Wilson at #2, but would be happy with Fields if that's what the Jets do.
Is he though? We really don’t know if he dropping until the draft. BTW this was the same things folks were saying on this thread about Mahomes. “ThErE’s A rEaSoN wHy hE’s NoT PrOjEcTeD...”.
6'0"? Where is the concern over size with Fields like there was with Wilson who is 2" taller? EDIT: Thanks to Borat for correcting me on this. 6'026 is actually 6'2 1/2".
No, that's not how you read 4 digit measurement. 6026 means he is 6'2.75. Size is good. Hand is a bit smallish at 9 1/8, but should be fine.
Oh boy. If the Niners did trade up for Jones, are they having second thoughts? LOL (No, I don't really think so)
The biggest physical issue with Fields is that crazy throwing motion, I just can't get past it. Reminds me of Byron Leftwich
I don't see a big issue with his throwing motion, except that in direct comparison to Wilson - Zach has a very compact, quick motion, but I think that's more unusual even for a lot of good QBs.
It reminds me more of Wentz. But Leftwich did have a long circular motion as well. He was just an absolute statue. If he's half the competitor that Leftwich was from a personality standpoint that's a good thing. This has nothing to do with Fields really but this was an awesome sports moment. That was on a broken shin.
