Yeah it has got to be for Lance. It would be similar to the Shanahans making the move for RG3 and lighting the league up before he got hurt as Lance has a similar skill set

The Falcons have an all pro LT and a 2019 1st rounder at RT. I don’t see them drafting a tackle.

Their problem last year was defense/holding onto a lead.

    1.Jags -Lawrence
    2.Eagles -Wilson
    3.49ers -Jones
    4.Panthers -Fields
    5.Bengals -Sewell
    6.Dolphins -Smith/Chase
    7.Lions -Chase/Smith
    8.Falcons -Parsons
    9.Denver -Lance
    10.Dallas -Horn
    11.Giants -Slater
    12.Jets -Pitts/Farley/Surtain

Did the Shanahans make that move or did it come from the overbearing owner?

I can't see the 49ers trading all of that draft capital for Jones. He was never going 3. Pitts will be top 10. We aren't trading 2 for 12. Panthers I see getting Fields. Atlanta needs to trade out.

The 49ers will take whichever QB they like the best. Chris Sims has proven his ability to spot QB talent so I won’t be dismissing his opinion.

I’m not sure JD would turn down 3 1st to go from 2 to 12 but ok.

I have the Falcons trading down to 8 so...

Plus the SF offense is run-heavy, and how much better would that be with a QB who is better running than a lot of RBs?

I still think Wilson would be a better fit in that offense, but Fields isn't chopped liver.

The Jets aren't running a single wing offense. Rushing ability is not what makes a QB the most NFL-ready. Polish in playing the QB position, having sound mechanics, being able to read Ds and go through progressions are ALL more important than running ability.

We've had QB the last 3 years who can't see the field, can't read Ds, has mechanics issues, accuracy issues, and can't process quickly. I have zero interest in drafting another QB who may struggle in those areas. As of today, the two QBs I most want for the Jets in this draft are Wilson and Jones.

I agree with the bold. I didn't use to think that way, but do now. It will be interesting to see who SF takes. Isn't Garappolo's problem more of an accuracy and weaker arm, rather than mental issue? If so, then I would think it would be one of Fields, Wilson, Lance. What if JD takes Fields? I think Shanahan would be all over Wilson.

For sure the Jets are going QB. My read at this point is Wilson, and all of the smoke in the media is legit. He came in at 6’2” 215, looks like he put on a little weight for the pro day. I knew he wouldn’t be 6’3” but those measurables are ok. I was afraid he’d be smaller, hopefully he can maintain that weight.

What if everyone is wrong and JD takes Fields? Don't you think Shanahan would be all over Wilson?

Sorry, I'm not sure that I understand your question. If you mean would Wilson fall? No. I think SF would take him at #3. If SF didn't, then Atlanta would at #4. If that's not what you meant, please re-phrase your question. Sorry.

Considering it cost them 3 #1s and some change they better be all over some QB.

I kinda feel like Atlanta would trade Wilson if he fell to 4? They have a lot of holes on defense.

I also wonder why the 49ers didn't just offer pick 12 to Atlanta for Ryan, considering they are going win now.

Lynch has been a good GM but this trade feels pretty risky and slapdash.

Can anyone read Douglas' lips and figure out what he's saying to him?

Sorry, kid, you're a good prospect, but we don't need no stinking QB. We're gonna draft Sewell or Pitts and #2.
