If I'm doing this right they traded Laremy Tunsil, Kenny Stills +4th and 6h round picks for:
    2020 #26 overall
    20201 #3 Overall
    2021 #35 overall

And flipped that 2021 #3 overall for:
    2021 #12 overall
    2021 3rd round pick
    2022 1st round pick
    2023 1st round pick

That Laremy Tunsil trade might go down as the biggest coup in NFL trade history and a historic disaster for Houston. They were the 3rd worst team in the NFL, have no 2021 1st round pick, not great cap space, and their pro bowl franchise QB is having...major legal issues. All for a left tackle that while good they had to pay huge bucks the year after they traded for him and an above-average WR.

    Unreal.

Our chances of catching the dolphins now in the next 4 seasons are getting very slim. They are nearly rebuilt and still got this deal. Wilson could turn out to be the next Mahomes and we still wont catch them. This could be the day JD lost the AFC east for his entire tenure.

I assume this also takes them out of the running as a trade partner for Darnold, assuming they were ever interested.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded picks No. 6 and No156 to the Miami Dolphins for the No. 12 pick, No. 123 overall and a 2022 first round pick.

I hate the phins but man their FO are badasses. This is poetic.

Bad teams have options in the draft. Good stuff for an afternoon in Mar. But the Jets still control the draft and all the speculation by us and the media mean nothing. But heck its fun.

Basically Miami moved from #3 to #6 for:
    Flipped a 2021 4th to a late 3rd
    A 2021 5th
    A 2023 1st

Meh. I think their world dominance is a bit overstated

What the dolphins did tells us that there were no trade down options in the top 6. SO they traded down further for a slew of picks. Then they traded one of those picks to a team looking to trade down to move back up to 6. That is how you trade down in the top 6 when there are no trade downs. They traded from 3 to 6 and got a 1st and 3rd.

Plus they still get the blue chip that they would've had to overdraft at 3. So they are basically getting the same player they wanted and an extra 1st and 3rd. That is a clinic of great trading to get all the value possible.

Isn't moving up to 3 for Mac Jones extreme? They could have traded with the Eagles and got him and for a first and 3rd.

    Multiple sources say you’re mistaken.
    https://www.thespun.com/nfl/nfc-east/philadelphia-eagles/philadelphia-eagles-reportedly-tried-to-trade-up-for-1-qb/amp

    They flipped a 4th to a late 3rd.

Don't get me wrong, I like the trade for Miami, I’m just saying it’s not the franchise making trade some are proclaiming it to be.

Philly now has (realistically) 3 2022 1st round picks. If the sources are accurate, i wouldn’t be mad taking those 3 picks to move back to 12.

If the Jets traded back to 6 for a 3rd round pick and a 2023 first round pick I'd jump off a bridge.

Forget the Dolphins. This means we are taking a QB for sure.

49ers probably called Joe Douglas first and we said no.

Good by Sam, welcome Wilson or Fields.

The Jets traded up from 6 to 3 for three #2s. It worked out pretty good for the Colts, not so much us.

We are at 2nd this season, not 3rd. Obviously that would command more.

Exactly. The Colts made a better trade than Miami did.

Miami is really set up nicely, with the enormous caveat that Tua works out and is a FQB.

If not, they're definitely a contender and can build a strong roster, but will find themselves in the exact same position as a team like...the 49ers.

Let's see how good Tua is, he might not be better than Mack Jones.
