yeah Darnold isn’t going to the Niners. they seem to be fine with the QB options at 3 even if Wilson goes at 2. BTW you don’t think this same offer was made to the Jets?? Joe said no, which means Wilson is undoubtedly the guy he will draft at 2.
I was just going to post this. You have to think the Niners would have preferred the #2 so either JD's demands were too much or the #2 simply isn't available.
This is incredible for the Jets. They either really like Wilson or they get an even bigger haul for #2.
I don't think we will go 2-14 again either, it was a bit of a joke comment as you stated lol There will always be a QB to draft next year, every year the draft gets labelled can't miss this, generational that. Zach Wilson is the perfect example of this, a year ago he was not on the radar and now we have experts saying he is better than TL and he may well be and we will soon find out. I understand that trading back up to the top 5 would be crazy after trading down the year previous and I am sure JD is savvy enough to do the right thing, what ever that may be?
Wow, 2 1st's and extras and dropping to 12 right in amongst all the other quality players, so they are keeping faith with Tua then. What does that mean for the Jets, we knocked it back, the niners know we are not taking Wilson or a QB at #2. Would you offer all of that if you want Wilson and be left with Fields instead, sounds familiar to me. Of course, they may not want Wilson and know Fields will be waiting for them at 3. Intriguing.
Miami going for Pitts or Chase at 6 and SF moving up for Lance or Jones? There could be a QB taken with the first four picks. Some great wheeling and dealing by Miami. It really tells you how much our 2 pick is worth.
I don’t think the move is for Fields. Could see them really liking Jones or Lance in their O. It’s not for Zach Wilson either, as even if they had indication the Jets weren’t taking a QB, the Jets could still trade the #2. This is about moving ahead of Atlanta.
That is some trade up for Jones and Lance tbh, surely they would be available below 7? They could have made the deal with the Eagles, hell there was a guy on here saying Jones is a third round pick.
