After reading them, the unscrupulous, predatory, and repetitious nature portrayed in the complaints should stop anyone in their tracks from seeing Watson as someone they'd actively seek for their organization. Lol not even close. I was in on trading for him initially but backed off pretty quickly way before this all happened. I'm still not quite sure I understand it all though. The final sentence quoted from the complaint is bizarre, unfounded and irrelevant. It appears that Buzbee may be attempting to put the entire NFL on trial in an effort to garner the sympathy of the jury. This may have something to do with the low sum of $500 that others have reported as the damages requested.
I don’t see the logic of continuously hiring new masseuses if the purpose was the massage. Seems you find one that does a great job and stick with them like you would do with anyone providing a service. The continuous solicitation of new female masseuses, in addition to flying them to you, seems to obviously point to an ulterior motive which makes the claims of attempted sexual solicitation 100% believable, and in turn the accusations. He’s fucked.
That's what I'll never understand about these guys. It's like bro, you can make any girl you want your girlfriend if you so choose, and if you'd rather not, you can bang 5-star escorts in every major city in the country every weekend of the year with the money that you're making. I just don't get it. Why do weird shit when you can easily do as you please?
The accusations are bad but this is still America where you are innocent until proven guilty. I would not go near this guy until this is resolved.
So far, innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply, since this is all civil, not criminal. The standard for these suits is preponderance of the evidence, and dozens of women coming forward with basically the same story is a hell of a lot of evidence. And, of course, NFL discipline is not innocent until proven guilty, either - I have to think that a major suspension (at least 4-6 games) is coming his way, unless he can somehow prove that all of these accusations have been orchestrated by someone out to get him. If the evidence piles up too badly, a suspension could easily be a year. If it does ever get to a criminal case and he's convicted, it's a lifetime suspension (which of course isn't really a lifetime, but is a long time).
I have to say it's nice to be able to spend the next month debating about which shiny new QB we should draft instead of worrying whether the QB we traded all our picks for is about to get kicked out of the NFL.
Yeah I mentioned this a couple pages back about Zeke. Forgot about Roethlisberger. This is a completely different politically charged environment now though and the NFL is probably terribly scared of the backlash they'll face if/when they suspend a black quarterback.
