The guy was drafted by St. Louis and the team packed up and moved to LA The guy signed with Oakland and the team packed up and moved to LV. The guy signed with New York and the team packed up and moved to ???????
I like it. If the season started today FS Joyner/Davis, SS Maye. All 3 of these guys are better at FS (strange) but Maye is the better SS, even though he'd much prefer to stay at FS. Saleh will have his hands full managing this group
salehs D doesn't incorporate a SS per se. it prefers having more rangy FS types. it's very zone heavy and not a ton of blitzing. get pressure with the front 4 and drop the rest in coverage.
Yes, early in the season, but with the exception of one game, not very well. Davis and Joyner can rotate at SS.
He did, and has the skill sets to play either S position. He's very physical, can cover TE's, decent blitzer, and very willing tackler. Problem last year was Davis not ready to play centerfield, so they had to move Maye back. I'm not sure where they see Joyner tho, or how they plan on shaping the secondary as a whole. They need a CB in the worst way, and haven't even re-signed Poole. Will be interesting.
I didn't think he looked good there. At Florida, he played FS and looked great. This is the Jets again playing people out of position. They did it with Leonard Williams too. I can understand with injuries but Maye play dropped off after Adams was traded and his switch to SS.
Maye seemed WAY more comfortable playing the deep middle. Him and Joyner can rotate between the deep safety and playing the middle of the field. Still wonder if Davis maybe converting to CB. I have ZERO knowledge of this, just a hunch.
