Neal and Maye being tight since college is going to make the letdown that much harder if he goes elsewhere.
The timing means something. It either means we are getting Neal or we are being set up to feel like pure shit.
My wife is a Cowboys fan so I'm stuck watching their games against my will. I would get to feel like shit 16 times next season.
Oh man, it would be bad enough having to watch the Cowboys for 1 game, let alone 16, but then adding Neal on top of it. I hope that doesn't happen for your sake!
As is mine and her entire family. I don’t mind the Cowboys but between CeeDee Lamb last year and potentially Neal this year I might start to resent them.
At the pace, Douglas works we will field a competent team 15 years. Maybe we'll have new owners by then also.
Maybe if he had a decent QB his stats would be better. Right now Crowder is the best receiver on the Jets.
You would assume Marcus Maye is more plugged in with the New York Jets and with Keanu Neal than any of these guys in their parent's basement on Twitter. Could be a good sign.
When you keep blowing the draft you get bad in a hurry. When you compound blowing the draft by giving mercs huge contracts, well that's how you become the Jets and the Jags. It's amazing that we've all been watching the Jets for the last 20 years and some of us still can't handle the idea that the Jets aren't going to hand out huge deals to free agents every year and win that way. We've done that. It leads directly to where we are. But "I just wanna have a great big ice cream cone now! Why is Douglas not scooping ice cream for us! Fire him!"
So far out of a scale of 1-10 i give the Jets a 6.5 for the free agency period.Some decent moves but nothing to crazy.
I hope Neal gets inspired by Saleh video with messages to his players versus Dallas CS blah motivation. If we get Neal our Defense will be young, fast, and hungry. I see a resurrection there with our core starters last year improving even more. We can load the draft with offense and CB, plus may be one pass rusher..
I can live with a slow build through FA because this is early in the rebuild. However, it really feels like after the draft things are going to blow up around here. No matter what JD does. I've never seen our base so emotionally invested in the draft. We want ice cream cones. I know I do. But we don't agree on the flavor. Clearly we need Devonta Smith Chocolate Crunch Time. But some people think we need Tin Roof Sunday. Others want Vanilla Bean and others, Neopolitan.
You also think Keelan Cole and Braxton Barrios are one in the same so when you adjust the scale for absurdity, you’re really giving us a solid 7.
