I suckered my girlfriend into reading this whole tread by telling her it was a heartwarming story of giving in a time of need. She should have known better.
I'm actually jealous that I didn't think of that first. A related story in the emotional torture dept, 5 years ago I put this bad boy on my tablet during Thanksgiving when all the women were huddled around a photo album and told them this cat just comes back to life, it was great!
The wife's now turning trick$ (btw best $5 I've spent--pretty good bang for the buck). . Anyway she said she's not sure when they'll get back on their feet, .not her anyway... .
wow I just found this thread when I was looking up whether or not "jetophile/Bruce Coslet's daughter" had been back on the board (and I was surprised to see that she did indeed post in this thread in Jan but has disappeared yet again).....anyway, so some dude actually scammed a bunch of TGG members out of money by begging for donations to his GoFundMe account, just to help him "pay off his student debt/bills." And then when he was called out on his scam, he disappeared and tried to delete all evidence of it. Does that just about sum it up?
Holy fuck! Guilty as charged as I gave this guy $50. One bad apple spoils the whole damn bunch. What the fuck is wrong with people?
Yeah, like I said, I kind of stumbled onto this thread and couldn't believe what I was reading. To take advantage of the generosity of strangers is pretty damn low. I still can't believe something like this actually happened on this board, and just in the past few months! Crazy. I also looked at the guy's profile, and it seems like he was a longtime TGG member when he pulled this con...which makes what he did even worse IMHO. I mean, he was a legitimate member of the board for years, posting on the board, getting "likes" from other members, and then he turns around and pulls this con on the same people he had been conversing with on the board for years?!! Wow. BTW, nice avatar of Sisyphus, Baumeister.
This guy is such a PoS and deserves to be punched in his stupid face. I'm so glad I didn't give, sometimes, it pays off to be cynical.
