Played 16 games every year in the League. We needed a decent depth 4/5 guy, who is actually available to play, and now we got one. Another decent move by JD.
I worked at a TJ Max at a mall for a couple of months when I was in high school. I barely remember much about it except boning 2 of my female co workers in the changing rooms. Then one day I got to work and there was a wall where the door was supposed to be. At first I thought it was some kind of joke but they just up and closed the fucking store and didn't tell anybody, just put those fake walls up and didn't even put up a sign to say they closed. I was kind of happy, that job sucked.
I posted this in the FA thread before I saw this thread about Cole: FYI: I didn't know anything about him so I did a quick search and found this, which is from a fantasy site, but the analysis seems sound: Very Deep Sleeper: Keelan Cole (Fantasy Football) | FantasyPros And this: Is Keelan Cole the NFL’s next big-time receiver? - Big Cat Country Seems like JD's kind of player.
Well apparently if you read enough, in the mind of some the Jets never do anything right. EVER. Did you guys notice that a few fans and some so called expert MEDIA analysts seem to shit on every single pick no matter what, with nebulous statements as “underwhelming” “worst in the league” “ should have gotten xyz instead” yet often don’t even know the first thing about the player. First they ever heard of him is when they read it on tweeter. We might not be flashy, we might miss on a couple, but to me they seem to fit the pattern JD talks about. Great upside and matches the CS game plan. No more overpaying at Bloomingdales for glamorous over priced failures like in the past, only to bitch about it after three games into the season. My two cents.
How can you possibly be this upset over signing a productive player at 1yr 5.5mil for proper WR depth? He isn't limited to the slot either. He can play inside and outside. Given how fragile our WR room, I don't understand? Is it because ppl assume this signing means no JuJu?
Keelan in 2020: 5 starts 88 targets 55 receptions 642 yards 5 TDs Berrios 2 starts 55 targets 35 receptions 394 yards 3 TDs They are basically the same player. Heck Berrios had to catch from Darnold so he might even be better. When one guy costs 8 hundred thousand, and the other guy costs 5.5 million for the same production- its a bad signing. This is not my idea of a good deal for added depth.
They aren't even close to the same kind of player. It's baffling you are trying to make that argument stick. EDIT: Also.. what contract would you believe to be acceptable for a productive player who stays healthy, which we desperately need? Curious If you think they are paying receivers with hand sanitizer and peanuts now adays?
Cole had nearly 40% more production across the board, how are they "the same"? Not to mention Berrios is 5'9" and Cole is 6"1"
Very nice signing. He's WR4 for us and very versatile. Also plays specials. The fact that people are complaining about this is absurd. We are also hoping Mims takes another big step forward and becomes who we thought he would be.
These are the QBs Cole has played with in his years in Jax: Gardner Minshew Jake Luton Mike Glennon Nick Foles Blake Bottles Cody Kessler
