You should really think this through. A case has been filed by a high profile Attorney against Watson. Multiple other Texan players are implicated in the suit. The suit claims there are Instagram DMs and text messages from Watson to her phone, including an apology from Watson for the incident. All easily verified so if false, should be over quickly. Houston would lose considerable trade value , and why include other players?
Well whatever the case is the conversation seems to have changed overnight from what is the Deshaun Watson trade market to what are Deshaun Watsons prospects of avoiding court. Given that the guy who is bringing the suits is connected to the Texans via the owner I suspect we're going to see more dirt on all sides before this is done.
That’s not what you said. You said specifically “it sounds like he did nothing wrong.” That’s not saying you don’t believe the accusations, that’s you making a judgement that the behavior described in the accusations can’t be deemed as doing anything wrong. I’ve clearly taken the position that I question the validity of the accusations, particularly the one from the accuser who is claiming she flew from Atlanta only with the intention and understanding that it was strictly for a massage. That’s not a believable claim. There’s nothing in these accusations that reasonably warrants a conviction in the court of public opinion, but public opinion is rarely rational.
Timing is definitely sketchy, but as others have said it would probably kill his value. On the other hand this seems like it may be one of the few orgs worse than ours, so anything is possible.
Its odd that they are filing lawsuits instead of involving authorities though. Something just seems off and usually I don’t do the victim blame thing.
Trust me. Watson will settle with non-disclosure agreements (it's imperative that Watson keeps these woman away from the NFL investigators). Second, the Jets would welcome Watson with open arms. We're fine with dog killers and rapists. It's flag kneelers we have a problem with.
....and this is exactly what the NFL hopes Watson does...the last thing the NFL wants if for this mess to be dropped in their laps.
Chris Johnson was one of the most vocal owners in supporting all his players and the fight for equality. What are you talking about?
LOL Chris Johnson hasn't bought a single jersey, hotdog, overpriced beer, or season ticket in over 20 years now. His voice is actually the least important.
You said the Jets would welcome Watson with open arms. The Jets organization is different than Jets fans. So I ask again, what the hell are you talking about?
Jets welcoming Watson = Jets Fans welcoming Watson. The Jets are nothing more and nothing less than their fans. Never forget this.
The accusations don’t sound to me as rising to a criminal behavior so there wouldn’t be any legal authorities to involve. Guy shows his dick to a woman he’s trying to fuck in the privacy of his own home isn’t criminal. The accusations of touching them don’t, on their own, rise to a claim of sexual assault without specific acts of touching them in specific places which are absent in the complaints. The accusations simply sound like they weren’t interested in what he wanted and now want money for the discomfort he put upon them. Unless I’m missing something the information I’ve read reflects a civil issue of which part of the penalty will be social embarrassment.
Same thing as the Antonio Brown situation. Civil claim prompting criminal investigation. I dont have any clue if he did anything inappropriate or not. I'll sit back and wait to see what is proven or disproved. I just think it's sad that some people will condemn others, with zero knowledge of the actual events based on their preference for the football team they support. You can read the post on this and instantly know who is pro trade for Watson and who is anti trade.
He has bought hundreds of Jerseys, hundreds of thousands of hot dogs, and cheap beer. And sold them for massive profits
Seems like Watson is trying to get away with some issues in Houston. What a mess. Keep him away from us.
I get it. Like you said, sit back and wait and see. The timing of this is what makes it sketchy to me and now the third accuser said she was forced to give him oral sex, which is assault. Why didn’t she go to the police then? This is going beyond embarrassment at this stage.
No, I said that because I don't believe the accusation. Don't spin it. What it sounds like to me is that Deshaun got some happy ending massages, and someone got a wind of it and is trying to make a buck out of it.
You're simplifying it a little bit too much though. This was someone that was hired to provide a service, not someone he went out on a date. I'm not sure it's criminal, but it's not as you described. In any event, it's a perfect fit for New England. Kraft is big into masseuse work as well.
