To be honest, most of those publications are in fact total BS and completely useless, except for entertainment purposes.
Josh Adams RB - resigned with Jets 1 year, according to Connor Hughes. Not earthshaking enough for it's own thread.
Not really. Teams often put it out there that they're looking to drop a player to get teams to call and make offers. Raiders are cash strapped and have to get out from this guys deal. Almost any trade helps the cap hit a little bit. Rams were in the same boat with Brockers and gave him away for a 7th round pick.
Actually from what I was reading they would lose space against the cap by releasing him. Wasn't cap related. Really sucks we couldn't land him, that one hurts. Would have happily given up a 3rd.
Glad we didn't trade for Hudson. Love the player, but he's 31. Let's try get some young players with our picks. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
IQ, I was Experts have no stake if they are wrong. Douglas and Salat do. Heck they haven't even measured Wilson yet.
I might have done it too with the lower 3rd round pick, but that's pretty steep for a 31 year-old player even one as great as Hudson. Will he play 5 more years? If so, and will sign an extension before his contract is up in 2022 then he's worth it, but if he only plays 2 seasons and then wants to test FA or retire, then it's not worth it imo.
No need for flaming pants but even for a couple of years at a good price would be beneficial while grooming a rookie. For just a 3rd rounder especially.
I meant grooming a new OL but yes there is that lurking possibility. If we don't get Watson and don't draft a rookie...
...it will likely mean that JD and Saleh didn't think trading a boatload of picks and players for Watson or drafting any of the available QB's up high was a good move at this point in the build.
question for cap nerds. when we're seeing 3 teams still over does that take into account that teams will need space for the draft? i suspect there are still teams -- like the raiders -- seeing if they can get a 7th for Henry Anderson type deals
I like the conviction. As long as he doesn't blow out his knee in training camp or something we'll get to see how it turns out.
