Fan for 51 years here. I do feel it it just isn't the kind of feeling that is good. Last year was year 1 of the JD Era whatever that will be. In year 3 we might get lucky.
The shock is that Belichik just signed two guys that are half the players that Gronk and Hernandez were and expects that to make a difference in 2021. He really has lost it.
saw this on another jet board From Matt Miller, a reporter know to not be the biggest Jets fan: Jets have had at least 5 serious calls about Sam Darnold and are currently expected to move him once fee agency settles down. He also mentions the Jets are expected to make a play for Deshaun Watson. Draft wise: Miller says the buzz is Zach Wilson would be the guy at #2.
I think Pats are sealing their sink into the second division of the AFC not rebounding at this point.
“There’ll be 4 quarterbacks taken in the first 6 or 7 picks of the Draft. Take that to the bank.” - @AdamSchefter on NFL Live
Carroll didn't drive Wilson out of town, Wilson's contract drove Wilson out of town if that's what winds up happening. Wilson is unhappy with the support level on the OL, however his contract is one of the big reasons he has a lot of average OL in front of him.
Got to change at some point, right? Not 51 years for me but 1983/4 which makes it 37/38 years of mostly crap lol
Are you seriously saying you wouldn't have had either one at the Jets? Jonnu Smith would have been great here, HH is a bit injury prone for me but a good TE all the same and better than anything we have but I wanted Smith here tbh.
They ran all over everybody last year with trash tightends and no weapons. Adding two tightends and two receivers means the offense isn't suddenly going to get better?
This is my feeling as well. Only thing that can save the Jets is a huge improvement at QB.. if not we're gonna be the AFCE basement for awhile
Belichik spent years sending guys like the ones he signed this year packing if they would not agree to lower second deals. Now suddenly he is overpaying for them. On another front: the Bears are still $20M over the cap. Wouldn't be all that surprising if they sent a fairly good player away in a trade fairly cheaply to get down close to where they need to be. Sam Darnold is a cheap piece they might want back, especially if they think Pete Carroll really likes him.
Couldnt agree more. I feel there is a lot of synergy between JD and the CS and they seem to have a no kidding long term plan.
