Wilson has taken a beating during his Seattle career. I don't think you need to count on him playing into his late 30s. He may not even finish out the last 3 years of his contract, and that will have him at 35.
Ok i said that he told me we had less so we couldnt make those same moves which isnt true, he said how we would get all this money and Pats had more so we could of made the exact aggressive moves if we wanted to was the pt and in no way would I pass on Russ Wilson for one pick. That's all I'm trying to say, I didn't say I want to trade for him bc it would take more than that. But we could of def had a good team around him with 70m and other picks is the pt I'm trying to make. Its no big deal we all dont agree at times
I don't think its really hurting his game tbh he put up great numbers still, if given a good Oline he can stand in the pocket and make all the throws so I don't see that as a problem hence why he wants out now hes tired of running and taking a beating.
I like what they've done so far as well. However, they did just land 2 of the top FA's in this class, as did the Patriots. Why are so many people suggesting this is some new smart approach? When you have the cap space and massive needs, it makes sense to address some of those needs.
Wilson is without a doubt a better QB than Watson. Are we really trying to debate that? With Brees retired, I'd put Wilson right behind Mahomes and Rodgers to round out the top 3. He's been carrying Seattle for awhile now, and manages to still be an MVP candidate in bad situations.
Pats are paying market price and getting younger. There may never be this much talent available in the FA market again. The type of players you could build a team with a low priced rookie QB around. Jonnu Smith, 25 Hunter Henry, 26 Nelson Agholor, 27 Trent Brown, 27 Godchaux, 26 Jalen Mills, 26 Kendrick Bourne, 25 Matt Judon, 28 Wise, 26
I didn't even realize they got Trent Brown back. They've made some big moves to improve the team. Accelerating the rebuild.
Didnt realize they traded for Brown either and made his contract a 1yr 11m deal so hes a FA after instead of the 2yrs he had left with Raiders, they really have made more moves than they ever made in the last 5years combined lol. Honestly if they hit on a QB fcccccccc
My man. It wasn’t one pick. Please go back and read the thread. It was both Seattle picks and Sam. I’m doing the trade if it’s one pick .. https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/free-agent-news-rumors.95394/page-26#post-4057767
I did I never saw both picks mentioned that's still besides the pt I was making and we had more cap than the Pats. I would make that trade Wilson for their own picks is an absolute steal either way thats my opinion again. I respect yours, I just don't agree with it either way it wouldn't happen bc Wilson is worth much more than 2 picks esp his own teams 2 picks that even without him would be back half of the draft
Super crazy man their basically saying the two Seattle picks we got for a safety Jamal Adams they wouldn't now trade for Wilson a top 5 QB if not better lmao in what world would you not do that? Its not gonna happen but that was the situation brought up. If anyone passes on that they should be fired as a GM on the spot!
I dont think Corey Davis is a disappointment, and Wyatt Davis when we draft him will make up for the last name bud stay strong
WR Davis I have some hope for. He may have been overdrafted, but is a good player and scheme fit. I really like Lawson as well. FA not over yet. Let's see what else Douglas does.
Anyone wanna crack the code as to what this means? Don't waste your time they're not trading him? Don't waste your time they want too much? Don't waste your time we're run by a bunch of fucking morons in Washington?
Considering the #2 pick has more value than the Seattle picks and Darnold combined, it would be a no brainer. But it's just hypothetical, and no doubt not enough to get Wilson, so probably not worth arguing it.
However you acquired them is irrelevant at this point. They're now assets owned by the Jets. If Seattle trades Wilson, that will likely be a pretty high pick as well as they rebuild. I still don't think they'll move him though. Why would Carroll move a FQB with probably 3-4 years left in his coaching career?
