1st - jax going to take a QB, likely t-law
2nd - will be a QB, either the jets take one or trade down with the panthers and panthers take one, likely wilson
4th - ATL likely takes a QB themselves. probably fields
8th or 9th - this depends on what the jets do, if the jets take a QB 2nd overall, the panthers take lance here. If not we likely don't take a QB and denver takes him 9th
15th - mac jones to NE. book it

I agree, but I think it's a combination of more teams understanding - and needing - a FQB, and the number of highly talented QBs coming out this year. Certain "analysts" predicting so-and-so going in the 2nd, and so-and-so going in the third are completely out of touch IMO.

If you can smell the desperation like I can you know we need to trade down from # 2.

I've been saying Mac Jones to New England for a few months now, he will fit in great there - intelligent, accurate and not afraid to throw to ball away if nothing is on.

I'm sure Nick Saban and Bill Belicheck have spoken at length about him and how he would fit in at New England

It's weird how so many people are saying "Mac Jones to the Pats". I know I have, but then I stop and ask: "If he's a perfect in in N.E>, why wouldn't he be perfect for the Jets (or anyone else)? Is BB the only one who can extract greatness from QBs? Of course not. In fact, IDK how much he really had to do with Brady - I'm not saying he had no influence because he did, but I suspect that greatness was already in Brady along with an insane drive to prove everyone who passed over him wrong.

Anyway, if Douglas traded back and wound up with Jones I wouldn't be surprised or upset.

    I don't think it's going to happen.

it bothers me because i feel like jones could wind up being the top QB in the class. especially with bill coaching him

Me too, everyone says he just been good because of the team he is on but he still has the intelligence and accuracy to find the open receivers, whether they are on short routes or long. His completion percentage is outstanding.

I definitely agree the greatness is Brady. But Belichick has had an enormous influence in the formations, sets and audibles at Brady's command.

he's not flashy but neither is brady. jones looks like a perfect QB for the offense we will run and the pats offense. smart quick processor gets the ball out fast to the right person. just someone who can play in and play out do what is needed

I wouldn’t be mad if the Jets trade #2 pick for several extra high picks in return in 21 and 22 and still nab a QB like Lance or Jones. Everything would have to fall in place, getting couple of OLs, a solid draft Or FA WR, and a RB. So many options.
