Will post a new Reward Game and would like to get input from folks how to set up the Reward game to ensure there is at least one winner. This post will be moved to BS Forum once the Reward game is finalized.
Use a scoring system and total the points up, eg 1 point - player is selected in first round 5 points - player is selected at a certain pick # 10 points - player goes to a specific team 15 points - a trade is correctly predicted at this pick 20 points - username is equine
Last few years we went with correct order fot Top 5. This fime shall we go for Top 4 to make it simpler? Lawrence is a lock anyway so probably I will go with Top 4
Top 6 proved to be difficult. Went with Top 5 and ended up rewarding one who guessed 4 picks. This time I am trying to simplify it so somebody can win. Do you think Top 4 correct order is too easy or too difficult?
Honestly I wasn't around last year so I wasn't aware. Seems like there's a lot of QB best teams at the top this year so it might be easier but who knows. There could end up being 3 trades in the top 6.
If we trade down, everyone is stuck on "Trevor Lawrence - Jacksonville" as their only correct answer. Try something different.
I would go with top 10 or top 20. By the time of the draft the first two picks should be certain. Maybe the first 3 to 4. Plus it is more interesting picking the 15th pick than it is picking the 3rd pick.
I am leaning towards Top 5 but without any order. Just predict the Top 5 players that will be picked on first round. The order isn't important. As long as you guess top 5 players correctly, it is OK to skip the ranking. @FJF - Chime in you lazy bastardo.
Make it the top 5 and in order, the closest to it correct wins. 10 points for the correct player at the correct draft pick, If you want a bonus then give somebody 20 points if they predict a trade down and the teams correctly. ie the Jets swapping with Falcons so they can get Wilson instead
Mel the Genius Kiper got 6 out of 32, last year I bet I could get at least 7 and it’s not my 365 day job like that idiot
If you're looking to make it so there's only a singular winner, make the order the tiebreaker and add a bonus question or two that's pretty broad in case there are additional ties (how many offensive tackles taken in round one, how many Big Ten players in the first round, etc.).
That was 6 out of 32 in his best draft, I have already seen at least 3 different ones by him this season already lol
If you're not going to be concerned with order maybe do the top ten. One point for each one you got right. Tiebreaker for how many you had in the proper position counting down from number one before you got one wrong.
10 questions. 1 point for each correct answer. Whoever gets the most correct wins, tiebreaker question at the end Q1: Who will be drafted first? Justin Fields OR Zach Wilson Q2: Total number of QBs drafted in Round 1: Over/Under 4.5 Q3: Who will be the 3rd QB drafted? Justin Fields OR Zach Wilson OR Trey Lance OR other Q4: Slot of first defensive player drafted: top 5 OR 6 & beyond Q5: Number of offensive linemen drafted in round 1: Over/Under 6.5 Q6: Who will have more 1st round picks? SEC or the Field Q7: Will the NY Jets draft a QB in the first round? Yes or No Q8: Will the NE Patriots draft a QB in the first round? Yes or No Q9: TE Kyle Pitts draft slot: Top 5 OR 6 & beyond Q10: Who will the 1st overall pick HUG first? MOM OR DAD OR GIRLFRIEND/WIFE OR OTHER Tiebreaker: Tell us how many trades will be made in round 1 once the draft starts.
