Seriously? Sad, my man. Douglas didn't hire Gase and his crap CS. Douglas knew this year would be a waste due to Covid. He saved cap space and money, and now can add significant help this year to help the new HC and CS. He got a haul for Adams, and we have a ton of draft picks. He had a good first draft.

I'll take the guy who has proven to be successful on an NFL field. The Jets have already tried the peanuts and monkeys scenario.

Me and my daughter (and son) love soccer too, what club does she root for? I assume she supports the US women of course (who uncharacteristically couldn't score tonight vs. Canada)

I know, I was giving a timeline of do's and no needs.

IE he doesn't need his coach tweeting that kind of shit

I thought it was a funny way of making the point. Watson is trying not to act like Adams. He's trying to remain decent and civil, but we may see that change soon.

If physicality was equal, the U.S. women's team would crush the men's team.

    Off topic sorry.

Who is instructing his coach to put out that tweet then?

Do you think his coach just decided to pop it up there for a laugh?

All I said was 'he doesn't need to go down that road of shitty tweets, as he will get traded anyway'

Edit might have misunderstood this part of your post tbh there is two ways to read that lol

One you think his coach is making the point with humour
    or
Two You thought my post was funny (as in peculiar) way to make the point.#

I answered it as if you meant it like example two.

Apologies if wrong as usual :)

All's, good. No need to apologize, thanks. We may disagree, but that's fine. I think the coach did it on his own. I don't think Watson instructed him to do it, or that a coach would necessarily do something like that unless he wanted to. I think his coach was definitely trying to make a point, but was using humor. I always find it funny when someone says "I'm asking for a friend." Usually, they're really asking for themselves. But in this case, he was really asking for his friend Watson's benefit.

I didn't find the tweet to be "shitty." I don't know that he would get traded anyway. I think you may be underestimating how stupid McNair and Easterby are. Regardless, the sooner he is traded, the better it will be for Watson, for Houston and the team that trades for Watson. It's to everyone's benefit.

Thanks for the second part asking for clarification. We all ought to do that more here.

I mean if we're sending both firsts this year, keeping 34 and keeping a first next year, that's a no brainer. Unfortunately this is 100% BS.

Care to translate? That's pretty confusing. I get 3 - 1st round picks over the next 2 years and an IDL not named Q. Williams. But what's this: "2 ovr to Hou. Send a 3rd (unclear when)"?

I think 2 ovr means the #2 overall pick. Not sure what D4 means. It's like trying to decipher hieroglyphics.

D4 is Watson. Deshaun + jersey number 4.

    Hardly matters, it's bullshit.

Watson is not coming here because why would he? Why would he choose to go to a team coming off a disastrous season that still needs a ton of talent???? If he wants to get knocked on his ass a lot, he might as well stay in Houston or go to about 10 other teams that are in a better situation if they acquired him.

I like Watson but see no realistic scenario where he would want to come to the Jets. My focus is now on Wilson, draft, and free agency. Let's see a Jets GM earn his money for once.

Same here. If he wants to win quickly the Jets aren't exactly the place to be, especially after taking most of our premium picks over the next 2 drafts. This could be complete BS or a leak from the Jets to try to make the Dolphins overpay to beat it.

Unless Watson says he wants to play for the Jets, then there is nothing to talk about. He just went through a miserable season in Houston, who in their right mind would think he would want to go to a situation that is just as uncertain. Winning is right up there with stability. The Jets offer him neither right now. He might as well stay in Houston, or go to a team like SF. Chicago should make a run at him.
