I don't know about the state of the newspapers in the US finance and sales wise but in the UK sales are at an all time low and I would suggest they are on the verge of collapse, once one goes I think we might see a few more topple. This will teach them to write utter crap and think the gullible public will continue to pay for third-hand news slanted to whatever bias the newspaper wants and don't even get me started on the bias in the sports section
I must admit, I don't like this kind of snide shit tbh If you want traded, put a request in, if you have put the request in then everybody on planet football will know you are wanting out and a trade will happen at some point, the Texans are not going to fuck themselves to make a futile stand on a wantaway player, no matter how good they are. That being said I still want him at the Jets, not the #2 but they can have 3 other 1's
Well, that is standard procedure nowadays, unfortunately. my 'source' told me is often just an excuse for them to write what ever shit they think will get the most clicks. A sad end to what was once a fine profession.
I actually prefer the fake stuff to what ESPN does in actually trying to be part of the story they are covering.
It's only going to get crazier. Next time you know, PFT/PFF/randos will suggest ridiculous trades. Something like, the Jets trade the #2 overall to the Eagles for the #6, their third round pick, and their 2022 first rounder, and then the Jets trade #6, #23, the Seahawks and the Eagles 2022 first rounders, and Darnold to the Texans for Watson. With so much cold stove time, we're going to be reading out-of-left field stuff for the next month.
surprisingly more realistic than the trade proposal Nick Wright had on Fox Sports the other day and spent an entire 4 hr show discussing. somehow we ended up with Russell Wilson, Watson to the 49ers, Nick Bosa to Seattle and zillion draft picks send every which way in a bizarre 4 team trade that would only be made if everyone was high and/or stoned
Word. When I buy a paper here it seems like I'm reading about yesterday's news I've already seen 10 times on the net.
The more teams they can squeeze into a crazy trade rumor, the more clicks they get from fans of all those teams
Think I saw something on the TWATTER that no QB selected in the first round from 2009-2016 is currently with the same team. Insane.
Wentz cost a 2021 3rd rounder and a 2022 2nd rounder than could end up being a 1st rounder. Interesting.
According to this, that's true, but also, almost every QB - with the exceptions of Rodgers and Big Ben - is no longer with the team that drafted them. List of QBs selected in first round of NFL draft since 2000 (usatoday.com)
The Jets are not acquiring any QB who is unhappy about the way his current teams supports his talent and is also an extremely highly compensated QB with the cap in decline. Just not happening.
How should the Jets use their cap space? You said that Thuney would be a bad signing, you don't think the Jets should take on Deshaun Watson, and his team friendly deal. What moves do you suggest the Jets making and how many years from now will they be ready to compete for a division title?
