You ever thought that actually you are the one that's wrong fella? If you actually think Berrios was our number two WR then god help you. Though I commend you on finding one more new excuse for Sam. Well played, I doff my cap to you.
A good point but still it was not shown on the highlight film and we both know a dropped TD pass would have been shown, especially when that team scored 0. Playing Crowder's role when injured doesn't make him the #2 it makes him the stand in. Besides all of that he dropped 2 catches are you really hanging a low guy out to dry and making him the reason Sam was shit? Because that is what buddy boy is alluding to.
There were games this year where Berrios was our #1 WR, due to injuries. Berrios shouldn’t even be rostered imo, but that’s how thin our WR group was.
Again the same point has been made already, if you play 1 game as a WR1 or WR2 it doesn't make you the number WR1 or WR2, it makes you the stand-in guy. There were games that he wasn't even targetted how is this making him a stand-alone WR2? It isn't he is a bit and pieces player that for all intent and purposes has some upsides and imo his high could be that of Beasley similar build and could be the go-to man if a play is breaking down, the dump-off for 5-10 yards, perfect for a rookie QB, not that Gase would have dreamed of such a scenario of course. But let us not get sidetracked from the original prose which was a guy slamming Berrios for dropping two TD's (we still haven't established that truth yet) and insinuating he is one of the reasons Sam is shit, were, in reality, the guy stepped up and overreached when we had nobody else to do the job, he dropped two catches all season, are we really digging this guy out?
I recall that he dropped more than just 2 catchable passes to be fair. He made some good grabs but there were a number of howlers in there too over the season. But no, Berrios is not the reason Sam was shit. Him having second most catches and third most targets and yards does go some way to explain why Sam's stats are so bad though. Berrios is the #2 slot receiver on one of the worst rosters in the NFL. And that's about his level. He's just a guy, easily replaceable and probably doesn't get on to a decent roster at all. Its an indictment of Gase and JD more than anything.
Well take that up with the stats place that I pulled that from in the link, the one thing I thought American sports were famous for was all the stats they give you I fear we are edging further and further away from the original points of my reply to Brooklyn Jet. And let's face it, it was hardly worth a huge amount of debate to begin with
My gawd I’m not saying Berrios was our #2 on the depth chart lol...going into the season. He ended being on the field way more than he should have. which means our WRs were absolutely subpar. To judge any QB when Berrios is getting that many targets is ridiculous. don’t talk semantics with me. about if he was our true #2. He caught the 2nd most balls. our WRs group was bad. Anyone ignoring that fact is just being argumentative for the sake of it.
