    Cunt /kənt/
    1. noun: vulgar slang for a woman's genitals
    2. adjective: a pearl-clutching, sanctimonious prig.

Florio and King have been insistent that the Jets should trade ALL the picks in the 1st and 2nd round (save one) in 2021 and 2022 to get Watson.

It's not me, NCJ, it's those guys. Watch Florio/Simms/King on NBC Sports everyday from 9-11 AM. They're worse than the ESPN and NFLN guys.

Also...what if Watson wants OUT after 2 years with the Jets ???? What if our rebuild takes a bit longer than we expect....a draft pick doesn't pan out....a key player or two gets hurt ?

    He leaves in 2023 and we're screwed...............

Don't listen to those chowderheads. They're awful.

Do you really think that JD would trade all of our draft picks for Watson? I don't, not for a minute. I don't think Watson would want out. The only reason he wants out of Houston is that he's been lied to and they have that crazy guy taking over.

I don't expect that we'll trade for Watson anyway, even though part of me would love it. Supposedly, he told someone recently that he has little interest in the Jets, and would love to go to SF or Denver.

Trust in JD until he proves untrustworthy.

Draft picks can "want out" too - it just usually takes a year or two longer, like just when you're expecting them to make significant major contributions. What then?

They make money sensationalizing football news for dummies. It says more about you that you're paying attention to them every day.

    Yup.
I don't trust Watson. He had a hard-on for BoB and is acting like a spoiled child.

He knew that the Texans loved Casserio going back 2 years, so he should NOT have been surprised that when an opening to grab him happened, they took it.

Matthew Stafford showed Watson how you ask out of a team. This whole thing he is doing is a joke.

Way to show thanks to the team and owner who gave you $156,000,000.

I think that's because the Jets wouldn't have the draft capital to build if they traded for him. Denver has lots of weapons at WR.

The Dolphins were 10-6 and have plenty of picks, but that #3 is a problem if the Texans want to take a QB and are afraid the Jets or another team jumps them at #2.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this. Because I see things totally differently than you.

What has Watson done differently than Stafford? The Lions agreed to trade Stafford and both sides moved on.

The Texans went from a well run organization with a promising future to a complete dumpster fire. JJ Watt has been the face of the franchise for 10 years, but asked for his release and got it.

Now, I don’t see these 3 situations as similar because of how valuable Watson is, but the biggest difference in how they are being handled isn’t on the player side, it’s on the team side. You can’t say Stafford or Watt did it right, but Watson is untrustworthy.

Not to mention Watson asked to be included in the GM and HC decision. They agreed and then just completely left him out. Now had they just flat out told him no, then maybe a good bit of this is on Watson, but since they said they would and then blew him off that is on the team.

Things change...when Casserio was available, McNair wanted him. He's the owner, Watson is the player.

There was an advisory council for the Texans, they didn't have much input, either.

If Watson wants to be a man, then he has to act like it. Hold a press conference.....take some questions.

Enough with this crypto-tweeting and stuff like that.

Not getting into the rest of it but the move by Watt was such a BS move considering he was getting released whether he asked for it or not. He was the highest paid player on the team this past year and produced only five sacks on the leagues worst defense.

I don't disagree, but my point is that he asked for his release and was given it. Stafford asked for a trade and got what he wanted. Watson privately asked for a trade, has apparently been told no, and is now being called untrustworthy even though he hasn't done anything different from Watt or Stafford.

Things change? Brilliant deduction. What exactly changed between the time they told him they would include him in the decision and the time they completely shut him out of the process?

Don't worry, I'm expecting another answer completely devoid of reason.

I don't think Caserio is the problem for Watson or for the Texans. Rather it is the religious nut Easterby who has McNair's ear and is the one who
seems to be running the team and who is the source of all the chaos.

The problem with the Texans is Cal McNair. Clueless, entitled owner who doesn't understand what the rules are yet and may not get a chance to come to that understanding before he's removed from any day to day operations of the team.

Believe me, the NFL is already looking hard at the situation because what McNair is doing right now is bad for the league's business and that will get you sidelined in a hurry in the NFL.

Among other things McNair's bad behavior has led to a question as to whether or not long-term contracts are ultimately enforceable by the teams or open to interpretation by the players. That is a conversation that nobody was having before McNair went nuts.
